  • Morning all,

Very breezy here today but sun is trying, it rained all day yesterday, I thought it would never stop. image

Been really busy all week, did manage to finish my book and really enjoyed the Book Club discussion, first time I had been so was a bit nervous but it really was very interesting to hear other people's thoughts. Got a month now to read the next one, I don't want the pressure of being on the last minute again, I nearly didn't get to the bit where he killed himself, that could have been embarrassing. image

All the handmade Christmas cards are at the printers now so that is another tick box done - now just the i*****g and the h*******k to get done. image

Hope everyone is ok, haven't got time to read back properly but Runny I hope your son continues to improve, still shocked over what happened and Lilly P I do hope you start to feel better too. Hosta enjoy your hols and Clarington send some of that mulled wine over here later please, I'll enjoy that whilst watching SCD tonight. image

To everyone, have a good week-end. image

Morning all. The sun has come out here but it was minus 4 when I went to feed the birds. Dennis (robin) had a woolly hat on. It was snowing last night but now it's all just frozen - windscreen scraping morning! Verd - you'll have to try a bit harder to keep up with Scottish weather image

Clari - imaging how confused he'd be if he brings it in and then it disappears image

I've put washing on to hang out. Is that a a bit too optimistic?  image

Think they've all agreed to agree Verd. What that really means will be another thing. image

Not really a fan of Andrew Neil but his attack on IS last night was impressive.

Whatever it costs, whatever protocols are infringed, we need to unite with Russia, Iran, everybody, to send in troops and destroy IS now.   i don't think we have seen anything yet to compare with what they will do

I've been saying for years that the west should have backed Russia in sorting out the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan back in the 80s, but no - what did we do?  We armed the Mujahadeen against Russia, because of course the Soviets were the enemy weren't they? Duh! Talk about an own goal - the Mujahadeen turned into Al Qaeda using the arms we'd supplied. image

It has snowed here, but its melting now. I put the grenhouse heater on last night for the first time this winter. Now very windy with blue skies. This afternoon I am going to my Great Aunt Sylvias 100th Birthday party. Apparently the Lord Mayor and the local press are coming, so I had better get titivated up.

  • There's a tiny patch of blue sky up there - but it's not going to be a gardening day - no way - and the house is all ship shape and Bristol fashion, so think I'll go and visit Wonky image

Happy Birthday Great Aunt Sylviaimage ...thats quite a milestoneimage

Hope KEF's heating gets sorted, and that you have a fabulous weekend with your friends.

Cold here, but no white stuff - not even a frost.  About to take littlest Chicklet for a shopping day out ....poor thing has had quite a time of it recently, being in and amongst all our latest dramas (she knows the 999 drill much too well for a 16 year oldimage) ....so a girlie day out is required.

Hope Runny's son is making progress - he sounds a real character to have kept his sense of humour in spite of the ordeal ......fingers still very crossed.

and only 1 more sleep Hostaimageimageimageimage

  • Have a lovely day with littlest Chicklet image

Have a lovely time Fidget - hope your great aunt enjoys her very special day and all the attention. image

Not going to get embroiled in the political discussion other than to say that I can see the sense in joining forces with Russia - but am I the only person Putin scares the pants off of?

(My old English teacher will be sent spinning in her grave by that last sentence - very poor grammar - soz)
