I'd just settle for them leaving the eggs at the backdoor instead of burying them Wonky.

    Morning all!  image

Arabella looks fine this morning, thanks Womble.  I surrounded her with organic slug pellets so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Out now to work in the park.  I think we're digging more wet mud from a pond, then clearing an old path to a well.  Should be fun (and muddy!)  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Foxes steal and bury eggs!

If only it were that simple Chicky ...... Virgin trains have cancelled all their trains on the Monday which makes getting to Holyhead a disaster image We are now looking at other options but to say that I am not happy with the strike would be an understatement image

On the good side, the weather is nice . . . .

I would say foxes for the eggs as well. I dug a sausage up once in the veg patch. image

Panda can you hire a mini bus? would one of the parents drive. ?

My sister learnt to drive a bus so that she can take her students (special needs) on trips. It came in very handy when my niece got married. Although watching her backing it into a space at the premier inn next to my car was a bit nerve wracking.image

The gardening club have all left, they seemed to like my garden and they've all had coffee and biscuits. Phew!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Went out for usual wander this morning and disaster for my blackies nest. The clematis (Josephine)  has fallen off the wall. Steel wire severed! Poor soul she was worked so hard. Only one egg in the nest, I have tied it back up but do you think she will return. I feel so guilty!image

Not your fault LilyP - one of the drawbacks of being a blackbird image  She may well return and continue to use the nest. image

Been feeling unwell for much of this week so I visited the sticky label centre to cheer myself up

    image

That's salvia  Caradonna X6, Clematis Warszawska Nike and Lupin Masterpiece, thanks to whoever mentioned that one from Chelsea

The clematis is only a baby but I don't mind leaving it to grow up a bit for a year or two

The Lupin I got at discount as it had gone over a bit, can't wait to see it alongside some orangey stuff I have,  I also picked up a Euryops at reduced price for summer colour, it just needs a tidy and a pot  and some summer Osteospermum with lovely rust colours
