  • Woops, made a boob Viburnum Eve Price is a tinus variety. Don't know their names. Sorry.

Thanks Fritillary, I have searched v. tinus and there are ones called Eve Price but all seem to have pink buds and these are white.  I'll keep searchingimage

Goodnight Pauline, hope your eye feels better in the morning.

Glad you had a lovely day lily, despite not having cakeimage

Evening all!! Very cold here and despite the heating being on I'm sat in my gloves and thermals. I think my internal heating is broken.

I tried to be really organised this morning and put the washing machine on a timer so it would be ready for my return. Shame my darling oh turned the plug socket off on his way out.

The flashy yellows on the parkway (main escape route out of Sheffield for t'hills) were warning snow is expected in 24 hours. Hoping it's going yo be a good display to cover the mess in the garden until I can get out there and tidy up!
  • Hi again all,

Think I should change my name to Dordogne Dasher, have been out & about all day, dropped OH off at airport, shopping - no socks but some lovely Heuchera sanguinea (Rain of Fire) & some cyclamen for my damp shady spot, hostas to follow. image Then had to get Charlie from school, make him a quick tea & then get him to athletics club, quick whizz back, walk the dog, get in some logs, light fire & then dash back out to collect him.image

Right now though, he is asleep in bed, dog is asleep in front of the fire & I am just about to pick up a book & have a good read - missing a glass of wine though, have been very good with dryathon (birthday doesn't count), what do you think - do I deserve one??? It is very nearly the end of January. image

Fragrant plant looks lovely Lesley, I did manage a quick look around the garden earlier whilst getting the logs and can see quite a few bulbs coming up, but not quite there yet apart from some crocus, such an exciting tme of year, full of promise. image

Right back to book, with or without wine though.....

DD I've loads of spare dry days I can send you across if you'd like?
  • Ooh, Clari, that does sound like a very good reason to go ahead - a little one won't hurt will it, good for the blood or something I believe! image

That is Viburnum Tinus with the wrong label, not Eve Price - which is pinker.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
