    Morning all.

Sunny today, but cold. Must finish planting my tulips.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Slow cooker on, bedroom tidy and hoovered, landing and stairs done.

Cup of tea, then will start downstairs. Gonna be a house goddess today!!image

Welcome to your new home Clarington image Glad the move went well.

Chopped the leaves off my helibores at the weekend. It felt odd but will be worth it. Could see buddy shoots!

Back to work for me tomorrow. Am feeling ready. image

Well I did manage to do a couple of hours outside and I am now officially frozen, so am going to crash on sofa and read current edition of RHS magazine. Also need to think what to cook for tea, I have a nice bit of tuna.

  • Botheration!!! and several words it's probably best not to type on here!!!   image

It seems my knees are not designed for travelling on buses - getting onto the bus and sliding sideways into seat this morning I virtually deconstructed my knee and was nearly image with pain - it's something that happens occasionally as a result of an injury 20 years ago!!!

Tried to take things easy and stuck to shops in the big mall, however I got stuck in M&S as someone fell over on the down escalator and loads of us got stuck on the top floor - I didn't trust my knee enough to use the stairs and the paramedics wanted the lifts kept free - eventually we were allowed to use one of the lifts.

I've done a bit of shopping, had a lovely brunch in Carluccio's then came home - OH has sat me on the sofa to rest my knee - it will get better in a day or so - but it will do it again if I try to slide sideways into a seat again image

Oh Dove that sounds simply awful!!

Can you not use a light support bandage when travelling on buses to give it a little help and absorb some of the strain? Hope it feels better soon!

  • Thanks Clarington - I used to have a knee brace like the ones that rugger players wear - it was the only thing that worked - but it happens so rarely - I just need to remember what not to do image

It's like that injury that footballers get when they swerve sideways and their knees go - something to do with a new knee ligament that they've just discovered.
