Busy day today, gardening this morning and this afternoon I have been catching up on H*******k.  My friend came round and we watched a couple of episodes of Peter Kaye's Car Share, haven't laughed so much in ages.

Got to pop round and see mum again soon to take her laundry (have already been once today to collect it) then I'm relaxing and watching TV. Nanna Duty tomorrow and Tuesday then I have a few days to myselfimage

Pernod, ouzo, not for me thanks, I'll stick to vino collapse with superIDhero runny!

Bike ride not too long today, but goodness it's complicted learning to ride a bike properly as an adult image all those gears n brakes n stuff image. Anyway OH

     says I did well image

Plenty of time left for gardening. Retied the apple trees together, I'm trying to get them to meet and form an arch ( ok give it another year n I'll realise it's a stupid idea!). weeded n moved stuff about.

This year my plan is less in the borders and progress onto pots, hmmm should have sown some seeds then!image I don't have many tubs n things as always expensive and the plants entice me more...but there are loads of cheap plastic ones in JTF, have already got a few for £1 each and going back for more, so need some ideas.image

Hope they're paying you well Yvie - that's a lot of childminding. image

Can't be bothered having any dinner - might have porridge...

Did anyone watch Chelsea? Same old thing really but will no doubt watch most of it anyway.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Big day to-day.

OH has handed in his notice at Waitrose and I'm cutting down from 3 days to 2.

He's going back " up country" midweek to work so I'm going to be home alone for 4 days a week.

    Devon.

On  a plus side . I'll lose a load of weight as I don't cook. I'll be living on salads all summer.

Note to self, sow more salad stuff.

    Devon.

So you'll have three day weekends like us - OH works Saturdays then has Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off image

Can't even stomach the smell of Pernod after an overindulgence 30 years ago that will stay with me foreverimageimage

My bracken bashing was a success - OH bought an old fashioned scythe last year, so I had a few Poldark moments, swishing said scythe back and forwardsimage.  Got the job done in record time .... the old ways are sometimes bestimage

Then got everything I needed to planted, a bit more weeding, and the last of my seedlings in pots.  They'll be a few more weeks before they are ready for the garden, but they are now motoring away.

what a lovely weekendimage.  Back to work and exams tomorrowimage.  But first, abit of Beechgrove and Chelsea.

Back on Nanna duties already Yvie ...you've only just got homeimage.  You really are a gemimage.  Never mind the gears MrsG - just concentrate on how to work the brakesimage

Wonder what you are going to do with yourself with all that extra timeimage

Bet you will miss him though Hosta.

Fairy, Firstborn covers my expenses such as petrol etc and treats me to nice things like tickets to Malvern Spring Show,  I would do it anyway just for cuddles and kisses.  They will soon grow up and probably wont want to spend time with Nanna so I'm making the most of it while they are little. Mabel will be going to Nursery two days a week from September and as Firstborn and SIL are teachers I get the school holidays all to myself.
