No idea SGL, They seem to have been missing for ages, especially Bekkie. BM has popped up on the Shabby Chic thread fairly recently but not hear from the others.
Morning all, nice piece of topside getting up to room temp, then into oven on top of veg plus half a pint of stock. Do not know who will arrive, they will not go short of meat.
sunny with a white frost here int NE can see the hills have put white on, blame Christmas, at least I am back to a reasonable weight after I lost it all last year.
Christmas is a busy time - and Beau was working for alot of it. I expect absent friends will reappear soon - hope so
This is the last day of what has been a lovely Christmas break - made even more lovely by the threat (in November) that all Christmas leave would have to be cancelled - thankfully it didn't come to that
Will make the most of the last day with another tramp round the countryside somewhere - once Mr Chicky stops snoring and leaps into action. Suppose I should be that our household is still snoozing - but the alarms will all be set for 6.15 tomorrow, so we are making the most of it now
It's a lovely bright day here but very cold. I prefer the frost to the mud too DD. clean doggy feet and you don't have to take your hat off. I'm sure Charlie will have a whale of a time but I know how worrying it is when youngsters are away. Probably a good job that you will be busy.
I mentioned dryathlon to younger son who wonders why it's not in February which is the shortest month and said 'well it's too late now anyway'.
Yvie - aaaarggghhh I'm sure the scales are lying
Fidget I hope you manage to get planting. I am chuffed to bits that I have a couple of hellebore seedlings from the seeds you sent me showing leaves already.
Morning all, well it seems that lack of alcohol is causing me to sleep better so a bit later getting up than planned!!! Woke up to a beautiful frost and sunshine......done my yucky 'garden' duty that no-one else in the house will do and had a mooch......very happy with good news but will post on the Hellebore thead
Riget, late breakfast, another coffee then out into the garden.....YIPPEEEEEEEE x
Its gone very foggy here and still white over. Thinking about lighting a fire but going out this afternoon so seems a bit of a waste. Think I'll put a fleece on instead.

Haven't you woken Mr Chicky yet? Can't he smell the bacon butties?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't be embarrassed Chicky, Hubby has only just poked his head around the door.
