Bacon buttie sounds lovely, but I don't suppose it will keep until July!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Morning all, could I have a bacon buttie too please Dove, here's some coffee image

  • Looks very cold and damp out there. Will have to pop out there soon to top my bird feeders up too. Will have to wear wellies cos grass is like a bog still.

OH has defrosted the bird bath for me  image as I nearly went 'top over btm' on the terrace just now replenishing the food I'd put out for the blackbirds - they'd finished it all in 3 hours.  I suppose I should have had sensible shoes on image

Bacon butties all eaten - lovely coffee thanks Lily !!!

Verdun, OH has healthy muesli with nuts, seeds and fruit too - and the occasional bacon buttie - moderation in all things image

  • Morning All,

Been out already with Shadow, very warm out there, much preferred the frost, much cleaner. image I got myself all wrapped up and after 20 minutes had to start unzipping things, didn't dare take my hat off though, unlikely to meet anyone, but would just have been a step too far if I had.

Charlie's bag is all packed now ready for his ski trip with school tomorrow, he leaves at 6:30 in the morning. I know he will love it but I am so worried but desperately hiding it. More scared of the coach journey than anything else, they won't be on any big slopes or anything. Doesn't get back till midnight Friday, I shall be in a terrible state all week, good job I have a busy week ahead, paying guests and voluntary work and garden planning. image

To make matters ever so slightly worse I too am doing the January dryathon, certainly a good test of my willpower. image

    Good day to all. image

Misty but not as frozen as expected here this morning. At 10.00 last night air frost, but then it got milder as the mist formed, still feels cold though, always feels colder to me when it is damp as well.

Morning all, FFFFF Freezing here, white over and very sunny.  Luckily the birds have plenty of goodies so don't have to venture out yet.  Sorry I missed the butties Dove, could just go a bacon sarnie and don't have any in the fridge today.

Hubby is still in the land of Nod and I'm on my second cup of tea.  Back on Nanny duties this week so will be going over to Firstborn's later today.  I'm not going to like the early mornings.

Got on the scales this morning. OMG! something definitely needs to be done, it's going to be hard as I know Firstborn will have loads of choccies left over from Christmas.
