Good morning, it's cold here image don't think it is as bad as yesterday will check when it's light and I feed the birds.

Today is SM shop for mum, too cold to be taking her along, and then a visit by bro & SIL. so more food to be eaten image

Hope everyone stays nice and warm.

Today had been planned for the start of work in our house - replastering and redecorating - but the builder has flu image

Oh no! My father has flu at the moment;  its been so bad he's stayed firmly tucked up in bed knocking back schnapps and trifle...

    Actually that sounds bliss!

-2'C in the garden at the moment, I've got to venture out to Crystal Peaks in a while to collect a few essentials I've reserved as we've been given the green light to adopt a dog! We'll be contacted in a week or so with a list of potentials that they deem suitable and we'll be invited to visit the dogs.

Wont be anything happening in the garden for a while there's 5 inches of snow - even the pond has been trying to freeze despite the moving water. I need to rework a few plans to ensure its big dog friendly. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Morning Clari image  If your father's medication works I'll recommend it to the builder image

As for the dog (lovely) if it's a labrador it'll want to go in the pond.  If it's a terrier it'll dig your garden up.  If it's a collie or a spaniel it'll bounce around all over your plants image

    Have fun image

Morning, bitterly cold and freezing fog, everything is frozen solid. Don't give much hope to my greenhouseimage

Dove, sorry to hear about builders, so frustratingimage

Clari we have found it pointless to try and keep dogs out of ponds, the just can't help it

suggest a ready supply of old towels handyimage Very exciting, how on earth will you choose?

German Shepherd so possibly all of the above Dove! The pond was installed to be able to withstand swimmers so that's all good.

Lilly - we've already decided it'll be a German Shepherd but as for which one... I'm already reminding OH we can only have ONE! He'd adopt the lot if he could.

We're already retiring many of our towels and hunting some nice new fluffy ones in preparation: I'm seeing now why the future inlaws have a chest of drawers by the back door dedicated to the dog!

Now dropped to -2.5'C. Brr! Take that bugs and slugs!

    Morning allimage

    Congratulations LilyP.  Lovely news.image

Clari you must be excited about getting your new friendimage.  I love this frosty weather for dog walking because she comes back with clean paws so the washing machine doesn't fill up with muddy towels.

What a pity about your builder Dove.

Pleased to see that most have had a lovely time over Christmas. Our riotous day was Boxing Day when sil and her family visited.  Have not laughed so much for ages and we are having a repeat at her house on Saturdayimage.  After that the diet starts.image

    Have a good dayimage
