  • "Black Friday"… another meaningless American import…Bah Humbug imageimage.. now very glad I spent the day gardening. Why would you choose to go shopping when you could be shovelling?

I nominate all Fridays from hereon as "Cake Friday". If you can't bake one, you have to buy one or at the very least, eat one. No exceptions or EU derogations will be allowed.

  • Well went into the garden earlier and I think it is fair to say the oak tree has dumped almost all the leaves!! Can't see the lawn for leaves!!! Think it has dropped everything in a day!

  • image Sorry Verdun,  I just love cake image  that was my last piece, honest, --- well for tonight anywayimage

ITS THE WEEKEND- thank heavens for that.  There were times i thought this one might never end.  Is it too early for wine do you think?

just picked up Chicklet from a restaurant that only sells puddings.  She had a lovely time - oreo milkshake (sorry Woody, another US import, but apparently it doesn't work as well with Hob Nobs) and banoffee waffle.  Not one for every day of the week but fun for a treatimage

  • Hello Chicky - certainly not too early for wine - there's curry and a bottle of Gewurtztraminer open here image

Archie, wish they'd picked yours up and dropped it on their toes! Thieving little so and so's.

Woody please can it be cake & Ice cream Friday?

Impressed David, did you by any chance get jam on page 40 this morning?image

Hi everyone else, just going for a gander around the forum, see you all tomorrow. Sleep well.

I got a parcel of plants today. Brunnera and verbascum and helenium.   Big plugs about 2 inch across so I will pot into 3 inch pots and keep in cold polytunnel until they start growing in spring. If I can find space. I might need an overflow greenhouse for the overflow greenhouse.

Fidget, perhaps on the invention thread we should request a two tier bunk bed type greenhouse, with central ladder.  Hey that's not so daft..copyright to meimage

I've got 2 tier benching both sides of the greenhouse.(12 ft by 8) Its aluminium and comes out to become the nursery area in summer when the Toms go in. The mini poytunnel has two shelves either side (6 ft by 3 ft). The mini mini growhouse takes about 6 of those blue plastic mushroom trays (so handy for a dozen 3 in pots).

I could get a 42 foot by 14 ft polytunnel on one of the  new veg beds.(next door)

I commandeered next doors conservatory to get trays of beans, and sweet corn started. Only for 4 weeks though. It is currently acting as OH's garage/workshop until next doors garage gets rebuilt (rotting beams and an asbestos roof, and leaks like crazy) What can I say, I like growing things.
