I have just enjoyed my first rhubarb crumble of the year made from sticks pulled this morning. Lashings of double cream, OH deserves full credit.

I hate DIY. Have been up and down ladders [ no falls, but a couple of wobbles ] sand papered most of my skin and still havent actually put any new paint on.

OH wants me to do some bedrooms next, but I just dont think its my thing.

Glad your Mums doing well Verdun.

Right, better go and cook tea.

How can you lie there and think of England

    Lovely pix Bill image

Well the sun stayed out and it was actually above 10 degrees well into the teens in fact so got loads done after work! All the trim for the main run of raised beds finished, painted, attached and all screw heads countersunk so I can sit on it without any  'issues' image

I'll come and give you a hand when I get some hols doc image

KEF - glad you found it. I 'liberated' my rings when husband left. They went to the great jeweller in the sky...well, the wheelie bin and then the council tip...image

Enjoyed Andy's comment about it - have you got the lead rein for it yet?

You're a good soul Verd. If it's important to your Mum it's important for you to do it, and since you've been good,  I''l let you off with your classy humour... image

Off for a quick look round forum before I organise dinner.

Just a quick pop in, frost predicted tonight for S.Yorks, so close GH's and move stuff that is hardening off, if you don't have a GH.

    Think all should check forecast.

    BFN.

Panda, might need a loan of that smile, sounds like its working for you

Clari, how's the new diet introductions going?

Tired after a rubbish day at work and a right old rollicking from mil - in front of vulnerable son who I spend half my life staying calm around!- (it'll pass she's just miffed about nothing and wants attention) inexcusable though yelling at me. Heyho.

MrsG - I'm so glad I don't have to worry about MILs any more. Very rude and thoughtless of her frankly. No excuse.

Sorry - got enough woodwork of my own to paint ! image

Do it with a roller - much quicker image

Count to ten (twice) MrsG - you're a bigger hearted person than her.  So glad the lost ring is found, and Ma Verdun is getting a night outimage.

Just back from Hidcote and Kiftsgate - both remarkable in very different ways - had a wonderful day (lemon drizzle passed muster).  However anyone dreamed of making a garden on a cliff face escapes me - but i am very glad they didimageimage.

Have to agree fairy and chicky. OH not home to moan to until later. Had to leave son to watch tv while I went to cool down in, guess where, garden. Trying not to lower myself to 'not speaking' and instead rise above, ignore, under the carpet, move on, I don't forget though. Thank goodness for gardens. Miracle workers!
