Just seen the same article Dove. Can't believe places not 50 miles from here had torrential rain enough to flood, yet we were basking in sunshine with not a drop -strange weather
Morning all. Lovely here but work for me and collecting sis and BIL from airport later so may not be around. Got quite a bit done yesterday as it was cooler but also watched the golf which was terrific.
Not caught up with everything here but if you've done something to your ankle OL, get it checked sooner rather than later. I resisted going to the doc when I had a knee problem and was hobbling sideways down mountains for ages before I finally went. Not clever
Off for a very quick look round before I go. Have a good day all
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'm going to sit here tapping my hoof til OL logs in to tell us she's going to the hospital. No messing around OL we're watching you!!
I can't believe how much the weather varies across the UK - I mean I used to sit and watch the BBC news everyday but this forum has made it so real. Especially when KEF just up the road gives a completely different weather report to what's happening here!
Lifted the last of the onions yesterday - just lifting them my eyes were watering they're so strong! I'm going to start thinking (in between job hunts) about what vegetables to grow this winter / next year - although that implies that I might get him completing those to do lists as I can't dig or lay slabs for the greenhouses.
Hey guys. Just remembered it's brown bin day and it's not out so just a short one for me before I run out in my dressing gown and sticky up hair.
Thanks for thinking of me , Dove. I live on high ground so personally ok, hoping those at the marina are ok. We've a 3 storey house so more worried about being hit by lighting (esp after Clari's note the other day).
Now to scroll back and find out what happened to OL's foot.
Morning (not good morning ), not gone swimming and fed up.....I am going to the hospital to get my foot checked soon. Hoping and praying it's not broken, keep everything crossed!!
Thank you for caring everyone and I'll update you later xx

Morning Clari
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning all
Cool again this morning and will need a jacket for the walk.
OL you had better get your foot looked at because you are going to be nagged non-stop until you do. (finger wagging smiley)
Had a hedgehog visitor last night which is the first we have seen for a few years
Hope today's OK for the saltminers.
Well said Clari
Morning Dove/KEF
Lovely blue skies here too
Just checked the BBC news website - there have been floods in other parts of Norfolk - hope Snoodle's ok - think her area may be susceptible
