Morning all - including Andy, hello! I've not been on here long so returning posters are new friends.
Off to Newcastle this afternoon to see my sister (and cadge a bed for the night) before tomorrow's concert. Then train to Oban, B&B, ferry to island where our cottage is, to do Stuff for the rest of the month. I'm very excited - though a bit guilty since OH is mooching round the house with a chest infection. He's getting better though.
Not sure if I'll be able to get internet access more than a couple of times in the next month so if I disappear for a bit, you'll know where I am... I'll be looking out of the front door at this view...
...though as you can see, the garden (in which you stand to look at this) could do with some attention...
and I suspect it may look more like this when I'm there this time
(typical November weather, very high tide, gate destroyed by bullocks!)
So... have a good month, fellow Forkers!
Byeee...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
You know, I looked at that gate and thought how unusual it was. Kind of rustic. I think it looks ok in that situation. I don't suppose it's good for keeping bullocks out though.
White Rabbits - yes it is the first of a new month. We are now officially all allowed to use the C word. With Christmas just around the corner will need to think about getting the sprouts on soon (are there any other TOG's on here I wonder).
Sorry I missed the party last night wasn't feeling up to it had an early night and the cold is now much better. Hoping to get out and spike a bit more of the lawn and empty a few more pots.
Didn't have a single trick or treater last night so large tin of sticky sweets still intact. Don't like them myself (I'm a chocolate girl) so if anyone fancies dipping in help yourself.
Popping off to have a look around catch up with you all later.
Yvie, I'm a Wildie as well as a Forker - we Wildies are on a Food Forum, and being experts we've had our sprouts on since February - better safe than sorry

All fixed Dove - nice and quick. Fortunately didn't need the second part so that saved me a fair bit
I sound like a stereotypical mean Scot don't I?
I'll get on with all your washing up now....
