very off topic, am I the only person who couldn't give a flying fig about Richard 111 being re-buried.?
I have to say , I've not heard a single person talking about it, apart from channel 4 who seem to have invested very heavily in it.
On the other forum I'm a regular on, one member who lives in York is very 'enlivened' about it all - otherwise not heard a peep from anyone. Call me a cynic if you like, but I think it's been seen as a money-making opportunity by a lot of band-wagon-jumpers - yes of course, give his bones a decent burial, but filming the cortege etc - who's mourning? Ridiculous!!! Hurrumph hurrumph ...

Hosta, i heard that they had to remove daff bulbs from the fresh bit of the supermarket cos folks were eating them, so maybe some need best before dates! My OH is dreadful, i dont think he has a sense of smell and not a clue as far as food hygene goes, when i moved out last year, he kept raw chicken out of the fridge for days, you could smell it down the street!....how he hasnt killed himself i dont know!
Intrested about the Richard the third thing, always feel a bit weird watching someones funeral.
Well done Perki, what happened to that heatwave we were supposed to be having, or have i got my days mixed up?
Nice suggestions Fritt, might pinch a few of those
D*** pressed a wrong button and lost what I was writing. try again.
Runnybeak- There isn't anyone left to ask. My Gran was a seamstress and she made us a lot of dresses.I can remember that when we outgrew them they were packed up and sent to Ireland.
Bekkie- I will keep an eye out for crambe seedlings. I have had the odd one appear in the border.
Evening all, hope you are all okay and enjoying Poldark &co.
Been busy as ever, especially taxi-ing Charlie about - horseriding, athletics competiton etc.
DIY project started (timing all wrong but didn't dare stop OH whilst on a roll), now have a empty shell of a room with guests booked in on Friday - no pressure.
Also have a whole pile of seeds needs potting on, they can't wait but neither can guests (they are paying), will have to be up at crack of dawn all week I think.
A lovely lady came for lunch today too (invited her weeks ago before walls got knocked down) and she is mad about gardening, gave me loads of advice & encouragement, assured me the garden will be super by summer and all the things I have hacked at will be better for it - I do hope so!
Feeling guilty for neglecting Charlie this morning whilst acting as builders mate, took him and Shadow for a walk at our favourite lake - 2 hours later, almost dark, finally got home - he just has to investigate everything!
So much to do, so little time, will probably not be on here much this week but hopefully Friday afternoon be able to post a pic of newly decorated 'Room 3' in all it's glory.
Hope you all have a good week and the gardens and weather behave. Special thoughts to Lyn & family too, not an easy week ahead. Best wishes to all.
