Hello all, I've been trying to get on all faun.....I thought they'd thrown me off for impersinating the original OL LOL
Well, it's been beautiful and sunny here and guess what I've been doing?? The VAT return
I did manage a quick visit to the GC to look at the discount corner and bought a hellebore......and a full price one jumped in the basket too because I wanted another purple one. I have one that is beautiful but it's hidden a bit, I could have moved it I suppose but would risk it dying so much safer to buy another
I've also bought some dahlia's, never grown them before so going to try it.
Right off for a mooch and finish watching the rugby.......come on England x
That was exhausting. Watching England [ not gardening ]
The ducks have been on the pond all day, so hopefully will nest. I always find it so stressful when they do, I feel I need to protect them from the foxes and local cats. In previous years they have been terrible parents, letting the little ones into the stream when they were to young to swim back up. I did rescue some in a bucket a few years ago, but usually they drown. God knows what sort of a parent I would have made.
Have a good evening everyone.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
We had a pair of mating doves in the garden recent years who kept trying their luck but nest building was the worst I've ever seen with giant holes in it and precariously perched, the eggs kept falling out
Couldn't get on yesterday morning then got involved in baking and knitting and cooking supper and ...... well, the time just flew by.
Flippin cold here - no gardening done other than inspection of primroses ............... oh, and I've got flowers on my broad beans Not many insects about yet tho'
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have got a new phone (OH's old one) so, apologies if my posts/spelling etc are even worse than normal!
Did battle with the hedge again a few days ago...think the hedge might have won this one! Could hardly move yesterday and got an almighty telling off from himself, it will be worth it when ive finally got it under control and looking beautiful, just need the 23 garden sacks of rubbish to be taken to the tip....oooops!

S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
We watched rugby too. Wonder if we would have won if one man hadn't ended up in the 'sin bin'.
Been very cold and windy here all day.
Hope all poorly people are feeling better.
Good luck with quiz Panda
