Hi Chicky glad you got into your garden weather forecast kept changing.

Fairy I'll excuse your friendly ones, we have a male that brings his harem and I swear they have feet like a |Yeti image

I'll say tarra now, not going to bed ! Food to finish cooking & tele' to watch & a few vinos me thinks, and you don't want a load of carp from me later after a few.

    Enjoy evening all image

No Panda - my canna says it's summer image

Chucking it down here now but still warmish. I like weeding chicky. I don't have many weeds here as I plant plenty of ground cover and I mulch. Definitely helps -  the weeds would be bigger than the plants if I didn't image

Will be mulching soon Fairy - just wanted to get it "clean" before it goes on.  image

It finishes it off nicely too don't you think chicky? I need to get some bark to dress the bottom of the hedge at the front - it looks smart with tidy  'feet' for the winter and neat  grass beside it image

My Mahonia is covered in flowers just now - noticed it when I cut the grass. Pretty. There's a huge one where I work and it looks terrific just now. Been there for a very long time.  Must take a pic if I can remember to take the camera.

Lots of whizz-bangs going off around here in spite of the fireman's strike & their request to delay bonfire parties till next week and also in spite of the fact that this is very much horsey country - hope they're not too frightened image

Better get the cat in although I think he quite likes watching them...image

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

One of the neighbours with very short gardens is setting off display fireworks. I bet they're ricking their necks to see them. Very noisy. I hope it doesn't  upset my wildlife.I've not seen the hedgehogs since i got back, but i saw flash the albino rodent this afternoon.

  • Hello all

    Been doing turfing today

Had to go get more turf as have some areas that still need grass

Amazing how Botley Hillier's only got turf in on Friday and sold out today so went to Braishfield which had quite a few rolls and they got it in on Thursday - I guess they are wanted around Botley GC a lot more

Got help from dad with my wood for the cold frame lid using a router cutting out a grove and I had a small go to help slot the Perspex in
