Lily - what a great surprise. I think your OH should get in touch with mine. He thinks I'm happy at the kitchen sink He's outside atm clearing the gutters and found a 6" long bone up there. Don't think any of the dogs round here can fly so it must have been a bird
Glad your boiler's fixed Fairy - just in time by the sound of things
Liri - that's spectacular - have a lovely time and hope OH recovers soon
I know you're wild Dove but don't know what a Wildie is. Don't get out much
Thanks Dove. Interesting link where I discovered you can keep spices in the freezer. Great tip as so many are thrown away after use in only a couple of recipes
We had a Lidl brochure in the daily paper today and they have some things I've never tried such as kangaroo, ostrich, redleg partridge and wild boar. Don't know what the quality is like but I'm feeling brave (sorry Fairy)
I've spent the morning making a chicken curry for 12 for boxing day. It will go in the freezer to make my life easier on the day. So I've started lily and I didn't scare the turkey
Didn't know Andy was so close Fairy. My memory is terrible and I read yesterday that someone was in Aberdeen but....
I often shop in Lidl - their own brand shower cream for sensitive skin is great Had a lovely piece of Scotch Rib Eye steak from them for supper yesterday. Dried fruit's good too, and we got some good Rioja a while back.

Hi all, back from up the road, now off to do a bit in my garden.
Lesley I've eaten bear in a restaurant in Germany I don't recommend it !
Think the weather forecast in that paper was because it was a slow news day
I'm brave I've bought some Christmas cards Fairy Not for us for Mum so she has enough time to write them, my nagging to do so starts in a couple of weeks

Lesley, Wildies are members of a Foodie Forum http://www.wildfood.info/index.php . We started off on the BBC Food Messageboard, and when that closed the wonderful Riocaz started Wildfood. One of our number, Mamta, was featured in the Guardian yesterday http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/oct/31/how-to-make-curry-onion-ginger-garlic-mamta-gupta-back-to-basics-henry-dimbleby but we're not all as elevated as her - we're a very friendly chatty bunch, just like the Forkers

No lily. 1st of December in this house and not a day before apart from daughter making her cake the other day.
Hard school here....
Andy's from our neck of the woods Lesley - he's about half an hour south of me
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
