My seedlings have perked up a lot, but one planter with wallflowers and forget-me-nots will never look as good as the other one and a couple of shrubs are looking sad, Nandina Domestica waiting to be planted and a willow whose leaves turn pink (was a present, not sure where to put it yet) has lost most of it's new little leaves. The roses in pots have perked up too. - For those who asked
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Can I cut osteospermum right back (now) ? I just know there are some bulbs somewhere under the clump but they arent getting any light (gladioli I think but can't really remember)
back in a tick, gotta fetch OH from footie match (he only goes once a year)
Well, I was going to make a bread and butter pudding but someone's eaten all the white bread that I thought wasn't being eaten - so no pudding.
I've been outside watering pots as despite the drizzle the pots are pretty dry. An inspection reveals more baby Helleborus Tutu and the emergence of Hostas Sum & Substance and Blue Angel - the smaller ones in the pots appeared a while back, and Hadspen's Blue appeared last week, so that's all of them accounted for
It's clouding up again and looking grey and chilly - supper is organised (jacket tatties and pork chops with fennel and orange) so think I'll get the knitting out and find some rubbish telly to watch until OH finishes work.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oh Dove, I was looking forward to the bread and butter pudding. Suppose I'll have to cook tonight. OH is away all day so another dog walk is on the cards.
Asked to borrow son's car and he said fine but gave me a shopping list (and the money). I went to Aldi to get more stakes( I like them because the dog doesn't chew them), some growmore and plant ties. His list was from Morrisons and included beer, crisps and geezers.

Momentary blue sky and sunshine has gone away and grey clouds, drizzle and chilly winds have returned.
I'm going to make a marmalade bread & butter pudding for supper ... maybe the sun will come out then
