Rain was due 11am but held off so spuds topped up again, some weeding and dead heading done. Played with my camera, not great shots but will post in appropriate places. Rained at 2pm on and off now having a proper go, we need some.
HW was delayed due to no rain and it is a bit late to start now
DD glad that Shadow is getting better.
Curry tonight as usual, I wouldn't know it was Sunday unless the house had an aroma Mentioning curry where is Archie? Anyone seen him?
Enjoy tomoz' MrsG
Hope Pdoc tells what he has been unable to resist at Harrogate.
Hi fellow forkers, Getting a bit dark here, the rain is due this evening, I really hope we get a heavy downpour the garden really needs it.
Forgot to mention that we saw Red Kites on Thursday on the way to the Harrogate Show, never seen them before, they were beautiful.
Have been busy in the garden, last few plug plants arrived so potted them up. Noticed that 3 out of 4 Dahlias have now sprouted.
Had a dig around and couldn't find the Canadensis Plena that was planted so I have no idea what happened to it, but I did find the Dicentra Alba, doesn't appear to have any shoots on it though
Moved an azaelia that was in too much sunshine (we had to cut a tree down last year that was sheltering it) and planted my purchases from yesterday.
Split a load of primroses, mowed the lawn and collapsed on the sofa.
DD so glad that Shadow is getting back to his normal self. It's amazing how quickly they pick up.
Hate red hot pokers so don't call them anything printable.
Panda, I'm afraid to say that 'his' is still ours. No sign of a move out anytime soon. Older son will be with us forever but he is a joy and a nightmare in equal measure.
Curry tonight here as well KEF. Very disappointed that we won't be having bread and butter pudding though.
Am back from Harrogate, had a lovely day. Great to speak to some of the knowledgeable staff, from some of the specialist nurseries, friendly, helpful and did not seem to care whether you bought anything or not.
However, did buy a Uvularia grandiflora and a Cornus canadensis, for the woodland.
Snap Yvie, also saw 2 Red Kites today, having not seen them for years. They are fairly common in N. Yorks. , but have not yet reached Sheffield.

Just back from a lovely day out at Pollok Country Park. The gardens of the house were truly inspirational. So good to see the National Trust in top form. Recommended
DD I have worried for you, very relieved indeed. Give Shadow a chin rub from my woofies.

Hello all you busy people, couldn't keep up with where it was raining and where it was sunny, did spot the snow though Lesley, there was a surprise! We have had both here, but mostly sunshine.
Plant fete was small but very nice, some very expensive on some stall but lovely and some cheap and cheerful on others, very nice knowledgable people too.Got six little starter alpines but saving myself for the bigger plant sales/fetes coming up in next few weeks. Thought I ought to get soil on 'soon to be rockery' before I went too mad.
Off to French Bingo tonight, that will be fun I hope.

Lesley crack that whip, no use having fit men in the house unless you work 'em
I'm not sad about the pudding, don't eat them, now ice cream is another story...
