  • Hello all

Internet been on blip phone line not too good keeps messing up

Yesterday even in the rain went to the station no trains took some bulbs daff and bluebells and few violas and planted up a tyre planter

Today I have planted up all my allium bulbs in the planter that had the tulips in until the rats ate them, so should be a good show of alliums lots of different bulbs, fern in the middle and I have put chicken wire on them with a brick on top don't want these bulbs going, I also planted up the last of the orange tulips into plastic pots with wire on

Mum had the few alliums left and she planted them in her raised bed

Was a rather windy night, thing in garden not too damaged, looked at temperature today sunny said 6 degrees

Later got the coldframe back into the house to carry on making attached weed matting to the bottom and started putting hinges until drill battery needed charging

  • Gosh. Gg, you've been busy!  I'm well impressed...  There's lying snow here, & I've got a cold, so after bravely staggering to the shops, I've been sitting under the cat watching ancient "Carry on..." films and sneezing, gratefully accepting cups of tea provided by OH.  He has his uses!  image

Tomorrow, son & DIL arrive for a night, followed on Monday by daughter, SIL and granddaughters.  House not big enough to accommodate them all at once so it'll be a quick bed change on Monday.  3-yr-old developed chicken pox yesterday.  Expect her little sister will get it soon - but better now than later I reckon.  I got it when I was 18 and it wasn't much fun.

    Time for bed.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Good morning, 0C here, bird bath required the kettle this morning image Any snow that melted is now ice.

Family travelled down from Newcastle yesterday and didn't see any snow until Wetherby.

    Lovely pics Chicky.

    Liri hugs for LO.

Welcome home Dove, shame about the swimming phone.

I'm confused has Nut or Edd  bumped  their car?

  • Good morning all image  A nice morning here - blue skies and pink and white fluffies!.

My head is still stuffed with cotton wool so that turning over in bed gives me dreams of being on a small boat in a stormy sea.  Apart from that and a bit of an 'acking corff' no real problems.  I shall have a shower in a few mins (when I've finished my second coffee) and then we shall have scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.  I ordered a side from a friend who works at the Belhaven Smokery in Dunbar - it really is the best smoked salmon in the world image

  • Morning all.

    Blue skies here too.

Not sure what we are doing today, hopefully off out for a drink image

Feeling rather stuffed with chocs etc, but still loads left so may have to have some more later image

Have a good day everyone. TTFN x

Mmmm - smoked salmon and bagels for breakfast here too - though will have to make do with whatever variety the SM could provide. Glad you had a good Christmas Dove, and pleased your rellies made it through the snow KEF.

Icy here - kettle on for the birdbath (and my cuppa). Had a lovely long walk yesterday, and probably another today (think it might be too cold for bikes - too cold for deep breathing, and i fear for my ears in the stinging winds image). Then i am nearly finished the chatto/lloyd letters book - enjoying it, even if they do both come across as rather smug in places.

Enjoy your days, whatever you are up too image

Morning all. Son No 2 has just left. On our own again. OH is hoovering bedrooms. I must go to the bin place, outskirts of next village, find our bin bags of wrapping paper and search for daughter 2's lost Christmas present. It's 1° and drizzling. There seem to be empty wine bottles all over the place and boxes that had toys in them. I've been trying to put some order into the kitchen.
