Good morning all - still dry and mild here in Norfolk - think I'll go out and pick the runner beans for supper before the promised deluge arrives. I also need to put a net over the pond to keep the autumn leaves out.
I've had a quick read back - it sounds as if Apricot has landed on her feet I hope she has a long and happy 'retirement'.
Has anyone heard from Woody? Is he back from his travels or is he still wandering in Wildest East Anglia? Do I have to send out a search party?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Had a quick read through after missing out most of yesterday, OH home from travels so have to show an interest in him for a day or so, and cook proper dinners rather than something simple so time on computer and in garden somewhat limited - he did show an interest in my rosebed though - briefly.
BL glad the garden visit went well, those chaps must be rubbing their hands together in glee, did they take pics or do you have to do that?
Well done Apricot too, lucky little thing, that is more or less exactly how we ended up with Marmalade, he was in our outbuilding in UK and every time he stuck his head out a magpie tried to attack him, he was nearly starved to death when we found him. Think he dropped lucky too, he just loves it here in France in his own little kingdom. He was only a kitten though, 3 now and he and our son jusy adore each other.
BM - so much interest in your house, good news, have you found out about HS2 yet though?
Yvie, my friend had similar treatment to you and swears by it despite initial pain.
Dithering over trees - I dither over everything, so many decisions in a garden, still fretting over path although had some good suggestions, grass or thyme between stepping stones, which ground cover - so it goes on!
OH has brought back GW mag so have at least planted sweetpeas. Must go check the mice haven't had them.
Have a good day all.

Morning all. Wet, wild and windy here so summer's definitely over...as long as someone remembers to switch the tap back off at some point please ..
Nowt done in garden yesterday and not likely to get anything done today unless it clears up. Tomatoes are virtually done - only a few left on the vines ripening - but I've had a good enough crop, albeit later than usual.
Off for a look round to see what's been happening, then I think it's h****work for me
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
