Someone is very tired after his walk this morning. Unfortunately he wont settle because I keep having the disgrace to keep moving rooms. So I've had to come and sit on the sofa with him to get him to take a nap before he destroys the place. I had rather hoped to get all my cleaning done but it looks like I'm sat here reading instead.
Hostafan: I hope your doctor has some positive things to say (be it an operation or physio or...)
Bad nights sleep for me last night so lie in was mandatory (and unintentional).
Sorry to hear your placcy GH has collapsed Bekkie
Am hoping Pa is coming over this arvo to put up my new coat hooks/shelf and change the oil in the lawnmower - OH refuses to do any DIY claiming to be no good at it, and the oil needs changing coz Pa put the wrong stuff in He used the oil for his diesel car, in the petrol lawn mower
Back from haggling with car salesmen, it really is an unpleasant experience. They make you feel you are robbing them, when we all know the truth is the other way round.
Think I might have sorted it though, buying an ex-demonstrator model, from a garage some distance away, as long as the mileage is fairly low.
Seed sowing now to relax a bit.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Left shoulder still really sore so not up to much, most of all the 20 cells of broad beans are up and going to go into the cold frame, my celery seeds have germinated
I been getting notifications today amazing not had them for a year so good to get them back
Back from Waitrose and Boots - when I walked into Waitrose there was a cacophony of coughing - that's undoubtedly where I got the lurgy from - well, I've done my best to give it back to them. The pharmacist in Boots said to be prepared for it to 'go to my chest' because that's what everyone else has found happens. Waitrose are doing a roaring trade in pots of snakeshead fritillaries - they're flowering very early - must've been forced - they grow wild on a farm near where I grew up and they always bloomed in April - I expect next February there'll be people enquiring on here why their fritillaries aren't flowering.
Now I have a large glass of hot blackcurrant and rum, as prescribed yesterday by a foodie friend - it's the best tasting medicine I've ever come across
OH has hung the sheets etc out and is making lunch of Tiger rolls with Cheshire cheese and tomatoes - his idea - I don't normally have bread at lunchtime as I find it makes me drowsy, but what the heck - what else have I got to do today?
Yep, I've got notifications again too!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just quickly taken the chance to pot up my bargain bin daffodils that I brought... probably a month ago now I was going to put the washing on the line but someone (not be I'd like to add) just pee'd on the peg bag. Mind you I tried to put some washing out this morning and it then proceeded to snow so perhaps he was just trying to save me a job? Its glorious outside right now: the greenhouse is lovely and warm and a welcome retreat from the wind.
Sunny but cold here in Worcester. Baby asleep after our visit to Rhythm Time. Lots of happy clappy singing must have tired her out as she hasn't woken for lunch.
Everyone seems to have had a very busy morning, Reggie looks like he needs a good nap like me. He's very cute Clari even he does wee on the peg bag - well I'm assuming it was Reggie
I hope you get your knee sorted out Hostafan, I banged mine on the door going into a shop and it took weeks to get sorted, funny things knees.
Bekkie, it was really windy yesterday. Luckily I had no damage in the garden - the obelisks are still standing.
Just heard a little voice calling me from upstairs so better go.
More seeds sown, relaxed me after dealing with salesmen. I have however covered kitchen with compost and vermiculite, it looks like I have been planning a new border in there.
Yvie, I originally came from Bromsgrove, so close to where you are now.
Off to read the new Crocus catalogue, some very pretty things in it.
