It does indeed, Dove.  (Morning all!)  Cut mine on Tuesday but yesterday's gentle rain and warmth makes it look quite lush already.

Yvie, I had a wry smile when sewing labels on my Mum's clothes.  She'd passed on to me, when I left home, my leftover name labels ("you can just use them as tape, dear") and I found I had some left at the bottom of my sewing box.  Her first name has the same initial as my middle name, so when Mum went into the Home I just cut off the left end of my labels, and hey presto! they read R Smith, which is her name.  image  She'd have been tickled by my frugality, as she was a young woman during the war (I still have her wartime "Make Do and Mend" booklet).  "It'll come in handy one day" was often heard in our house, as Mum stashed some offcuts of material or odd ball of wool away in the loft...  Old habits die hard image

It's windy with high cloud today.  Must make myself do some boring jobs before going into the garden.  image

    Morning all.

Have put the flooded carpet back and hoovered it, looks OK, will shampoo it while the furniture is off.

Loads to do in the garden.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
