Just planted three oval pots with Narcissus Baby Moon, Muscari Blue Angel and Crocus Whitewell Purple. Have put a few pansies in to give it a bit of interest until the bulbs appear. According to the packets I should get colour from Feb until April. The squirrel was watching me while I planted licking his lips. I have put some chicken wire about 1" below the surface to foil his dastardley plans. Fingers crossed.
Ive also been deadheading today and found that my large red poppies that had disappeared underground have re-emerged, the way things are going they will probably flower around November!!!! Ive also got wallflowers beginning to flower.
Chicky, please don't remind me, think I was clearing acorns for months. Far more last year than ever before. Leaves seem to have started falling really early this year
Managed to plant up one container with plants from nursery near woody's way kind of a burgundy colour - as scary thunder went away and the rain
Chicky hope those lot that go past and though Sholing station do appreciate the garden, it does take a while to get plants and bottled water butt water down the slope to the garden to plant plants and water
No trains up there this weekend replacement bus service so maybe more gardening to be done if weather ok
And I am going to try my 1 peach for the year off my tree in the garden it was on the floor ready to eat does smell good
Well done Gg. The station looks really good. Woody's roundabout is really taking shape now (yes I know it's round) and will look lovely with the verbena and rudbeckia.
I could almost feel sorry for you lily and chicky having to deal with acorns. Brambles hurt more (ouch) It's been a dull, miserable day here but at least my hair has been brought back into shape (for one day only). Didn't get my nails done though Dove and Panda. We can't all swan about beautiful gardens Bet you're looking forward to your trip.
Bekkie I've potted up the iris and hope I don't kill them. Thanks so much
Evening all I always feel like a policeman when I say that
GG you have done marvels, I hope all the passengers appreciate how lovely you have made the station, I know I would What inspires you or inspired you to take on this project in the first place?
Woody yours is getting better and better each day! Bet you keep going out and looking at it
Star gaze you been drinking again!!!!! Maybe you could save Bekkie some acorn cups If you're not using for shots
Oh Lesley that's nice to have a little pamper! Maybe we will get that selfie now
Last night I knelt down to pick up some confetti by the bed (actually the result of paper punches) when I found out I had a thorn in my knee. So much for the romantic tale
