Good morning all.Clearly a bit of a mixed weekend for some of you and my hopes for better days ahead for you.
Offline yesterday on a very,very,very long coach trip to" Ironbridge" with a local club. Good fun, interesting but exhausting. 9 hours in coach, 5 hours at attraction.
Will dig over roundabout bed today. The soil is dry and dusty so will add loads of MPC rather than my own compost. Fewer weeds. Some roots to dig out too. Now have another large stump from a friend who found it locally. Can't wait to choose the grasses, and will add some colour too. Yellow/orange probably. Maybe a few ferns in the holes in the stumps. Will plant now rather than spring to get autumn and winter effect, frosts etc.
Don't know where all my words went this morning, but I just wished everyone a good day and explained my task for the day/week/year, clearing a very overgrown bed. Been at it for hours, it is so hot here too, multiple barrow loads of 'stuff' and yet to find soil.... ever onwards. Will post pics later of todays effort and think I will be in need of a lot of encouragement, certainly a soul destroying task so far! To begin with here are some pics of the 'before';
