EDD, Remember she is hurting too. It will either drive you apart or make you stronger together. Its valentines day this weekend.

Verdun, I was going to make chicken soup yesterday, but i wouldnt carry the chickens in the supermarket out of the shop. I know its the leftovers from the weekend, but they really looked ropy.

Thompson and Morgan seem to have a real customer care team now. My email about the lilies produced a telephone call yesterday morning. I was at work, so this was followed up with one email to say they were investigating further, and then another, saying  I was right, the lilies I was sent are unscented, as opposed to the website which said they were. I can keep the bulbs they sent me. They are going to update the website. They will allow me vouchers of 25 quid, for which I am opting for Lilium longiflorum bulbs, which I know are scented. Result I think.

OHs blood sugar retest confirmed that he is prediabetic. Long chat with diabetes nurse on phone, and he told her he has lost 4lb last week, target is to lose three stone, the diet and increased exercise will continue. The other option is to carry on as before,  get diabetes, take lots of tablets, and all the problems that being diabetic is. As his father died from diabetic  complications at a fairly young age, thats not going to be an option.

Verdun, hope you feel better soon. Hot lemon, honey and asprin works well. Sometimes my OH has a 'hot toddy' says he works for him lol image
