You girls do not know how much us men suffer. I have been in bed for most of the last 3 days, and having got up today, I don't think it will be for long.
It is desperate missing all this gardening time, but I shall suffer quietly.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Just time for a quick cuppa, thanks Clari, before we set off for Stansted (via Milnthorpe in Cumbria. OH has to take a rehearsal on the way!) Tea please...
See you all in nearly a fortnight! Forecast for Finland is cool and intermittently wet - ah well, can't have everything, I suppose... Enjoy the warmth while I'm away.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Feeling sorry for the poorly people. Hope you feel better soon.
I've just spent half an hour watching the birds through the window. The young starlings and sparrows are so comical. Yesterday a bullfinch came into the garden to eat dandelion seeds. I grew them specially.
Wintersong - just think of all the small trees, shrubs and large plants you can bring back in that car with the top down - that's what I do
I just had to pop into the GC on the way back from picking OH up - I walked past a display of Papaver nudicaule Garden Gnome and a large deep orangey-red one leapt into my basket - thankfully it's just what I need for a splash of orange at the near end of the front border - but I don't think it'll enjoy tonight's weather at the front of the house - I've put it in a sheltered part of the terrace, behind a trellis fence which will break the wind - I'll plant it out when the tempest has passed.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
