.... Dove, Lyn's right. We can always tell the outsiders from the locals. Locals never wash their cars in these parts. We're surrounded by farms and half the traffic is tractors, great big muddy tractors.

The car always gets a wash and brush up for holidays - the last one was two years ago image

Hope the scan helps clarify things, Hosta - knees seem to have such complicated mechanisms...  image  Son has metal in his, & has to explain when he sets off the airport scanners.  image

Yvie, hope the cold eases its grip soon.  Hot toddy & early bed prescribed.  image

A busy day today meant no time even to look in the garden - but the weather wasn't up to much, so it didn't really matter.  Yesterday was lovely, so I spent the afternoon doing stuff in the garden, including performing the last rites over a kolkwitzia which has grown massively but never flowered in 5 years.  It's now in several plastic sacks, waiting to go to the tip.  I feel a little guilty - hate throwing plants away...

Evening all, Mum seemed a bit better today but the cold is lousy.

Hostafan, sorry about the knee, I was at the doctors with mine today, it's been playing up for ages but couldn't face all the agro of getting it sorted, it was bad enough trying to sort out my back.  I have to go for an xray to rule out bone damage before going down the mri route.  Agree with getting in and out of the car - it's a real pain (pardon the pun) sitting down and standing up is pretty awful and as for climbing stairs.  Ever since I hit 50 I feel like I'm falling apart.

I'm on nanna duty tomorrow so I wont be around.

Oh by the way RB I'm on a laptop not an ipad.

Early night for me I think with a hot toddy.

  • That's just awful. What is wrong with people? Idle hands!!!!

  • Gwrs, awful & mindless, so hard to understand why anyone would do such a thing.

Our Germans arrived tonight along with two dogs, Shadow very pleased to have some new friends to play with but the aged, arthritic half blind one not over keen on the idea. Marmalade ( our grumpy cat) even more grumpy than normal. Can't think why?image

    Night all.
