I'm not actually sitting here doing nothing, in case anyone thinks I'm being idle. I'm busy removing bits of seed heads from a fleece - a job I've been putting off for weeks. Made the mistake of wearing it to do some tidying in the garden one day - totally unsuitable as it's one of those long pile ones. It's M&S but it's very poor quality. Should never have bought it - wasn't cheap either
Repairing and adapting my gaiters too. Life's one long party for me
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Sorry, greengage crumble is for pudding tomorrow at Wonky's place - you'll have to try to wangle an invitation from her ............ far be it from me to presume, and all that ..............
She is providing custard and OH is bringing a big tub of Marybelle double cream home from the farm shop.
Hwk done and Asian braised beef short ribs are in the slow cooker, to be served this evening on noodles, with a Hot & Sour shredded salad and stirfried Tat soi .
Time for lunch (the last bowl of turkey broth) then I'll be knitting with my feet up in front of the tennis - Come On Andy!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Want to do a "bah humbug" joke Fairy - but can't think of one
Have just gathered a large(isn) handful of autumn raspberries before cutting the canes down. Will have those for my tea instead of the crumble - wouldn't want to spoil Wonkie's dinner tomorrow . Fruit bed (roughly) weeded and the lawn edged. The lawns probably haven't been edged for about 5 or 6 weeks - the whole garden looks much neater for it.
It is blooming' cold out there with a lazy wind starting up. Decided enough was enough when it started drizzling as well. I like gardening but not that much...
Quick whizz round the kitchen then time to do some ironing while watching the tennis.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

If there's a bowl going spare please send it 50 miles south Dove - I've some ice cream needs eating up to make space in the freezer .
