P#####g down all day here and more to come over next few days.
Mood in the house seems to be improving, OH is now more positive about getting another job and I have told her I won't chuck her out, for not bringing any cash in !
Have spoken to SIL and her consultant will phone me on Monday and then we will decide whether I need to go down now, or later.
Completely agree about terrible use of English on TV, I am always shouting at the screen, "didn't you go to school"?
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hello all. Back from meeting in Bergerac, out again in an hour to OH's Choir's singalong with fish and chips supper. Been a lovely sunny day (I think) but I've missed it.
Glad your OH is feeling a bit happier, punkdoc.
I'm glad they don't have Black Friday in Suffolk, Topbird. Do they have it in Norfolk?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That's me back from the town, via Ma and Pa's to get a couple of bits for them. I'm having a wee sit down and a coffee before I think about baking One of your flapjacks would go down a treat Fairy Have the tennis on too. Come on the Murrays
Think we are off on a family shopping outing - Mr C seems to have conjured up a Christmas list. But most of it involves hammers, saws and other woodworking stuff which I am bound to get wrong if left to my own devices.
See you laters
I wish I had that luxury Chicky! My advice come hot from the earpiece of my phone. OH still unable to travel -so watch you don't over do it, Mr Chicky
Last week I went with a list of switches and had to ask for help to which the response was, *he can come and find them himself *
*he's disabled! * I objected (which is a lie, he's incapacitated, but I found the comment disrespectful
WW, do try the long drive or try to be patient. I truly believe I was rubbish until I took my first mock and realised I wasn't so bad
P'S. Ww, I forgot to mention that I put a lot of pressure on myself, to be the perfect driver on test day but they don't expect perfection, just controlled and safe driving. I have every faith you are such already. Experience is key

Well, OH said the farm shop and GC were busy, but I don't think that was because of Black Friday

Pdoc, is that the Chinese school of English grammar? I've heard they are par excellence!
So pleased your Mum is settled Liri - but sorry about your mammoth journey. At least on a train you can take a good book with you to pass the time.
