Hi everyone, went out today to have lunch withna friend, because of the flooded roads its taken me just over 2 hrs to get home that usually takes 20mins. Getting really fed up with the weather. Its raining again and my poor garden is now flooded. Thankfully the house is ok.
Stacey my vote goes to Montana Wilsonii, like the delicate flowers and the fact it is perfumed. Also flowering season is longer, one site said it flowers till july. Plus I do love white flowers.
Can I cast my vote later? Not enough time before I go out to google them (ooo don't the smileys look odd without hats! )
At last the weekend is here If I can believe the forecast at the top of the page it should by dry all weekend. This would be a good thing, have some plants to put in
Nearly bought some white helibores today, £2.50 for flowering plant, not sure of size of pot, but they were certainly healthy May go back tomorrow and get some. What do you think?
I went out to lunch today too, nice, but no veg apart from potatoes. I eat more veg than meat. But there was lots of garlic, which upsets my tummy and makes me feel bloated, am garlic intolerant.
It was a lovely sunny day and next week forecast is rain. Bother. But I did manage to plant some violas before we went.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

How can I choose? Wessleton was developed by the wonderful Jim Fisk and named after a village in Suffolk that I know and love.
The Alpina Ocean Pearl will give you the most wonderful seedheads as well as the gorgeous flowers.
and if I dare make another suggestion Alpina Pamela Jackman is the most wonderful colour - with the sun shining through the petals for behind they are an almost luminous inky blue http://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/clematis-pamela-jackman.html
Sorry, you'll have to choose - I can't ........ or can I?
Yes, I'll choose Wessleton - for the wonderful Jim Fisk and the pretty village of Westleton https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.obituaries/6D2Pr3B0W-I
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Macropetala wesselton for me Stacey, it's gorgeous! Although, I don't have huge knowledge of clematis by any means, but just makes you feel happy

Ok so down to two I reckon
1. montana wilsonii
Or
2. Wessleton ( how funny two beginning with w!!!)
For those with limited time.....
Wilsonii if your spot is in any way shaded, for me. And Wesselton is delicate enough to look a little washed out if in bright sun???
Haven't grown either so what do I know
