We're having a week away (Yorkshire - nowhere warm and exotic like some people!) in the middle of December and have just invited my in-laws for Christmas (will be staying 3 days). That means that when I come back from holiday I have just 2 days to get the house clean, welcoming and Christmassy and sort out the food with all the hassle of the crowds.
Best get started then.... SYL
I know your pain Top bird!
I haven't even started on Christmas, rooms are still half decorated and OH offered to host a conference meeting with his American work colleagues and boss! A few days before Christmas
I'm working flat out to remove semblance of building site in time
Tennis was - errmmm - exciting - wasn't it? Was drinking tea while ironing while watching - fortunate not to end up with iron tea over washing. Engrossing but nerve wracking - great stuff . Let's do it all again tomorrow?
Glad to hear things feel a little brighter in the Doc's house.
Hope you raise lots of money this weekend Panda.
BL - you will find both Norfolk & Suffolk calm and pleasant places to live in - unless Norwich are playing Ipswich of course
Come on Winter - let's get our noses back on that old grindstone
(Actually I'm going to write some b'day cards then pour a large G&T & sit in front of the fire & think about what order to do things in tomorrow - that counts as productive work doesn't it?)
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Before I took my driving test I remember looking around me and thinking, 'look at all those idiots on the road - if they can pass their test then so can i' Wonky ((hugs))
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening everyone been house sorting today, trying to bring order to chaos in honour of Doves visit tomorrow! beef and mushrooms in redwine been in slow cooker all night and will be turned into the contents of suet pudding for tomorrow
Winter, I'm a good driver if I'm not being tested, that's the shame of it! I don't get to drive other than on my lessons so I don't feel very confident, being a country girl I feel daunted by busy roads etc anyway but gonna give it my best shot and carry on if I don't get it first time until I do! its really nice to know that you understand my nerves, thanks don't feel so silly now
Looking forward to the crumble Dove! Hope you made enough for everyone!
Hi wonkywomble, I passed first time when I was seventeen, but I didn't have my test until I felt confident in myself, are you having a lesson before your test?,

I need a lie down in a darkened room after the tennis. What a match indeed, Dove!
Help yourself to a flapack Panda. Don't want to eat them all myself - and that's a strong possibility
Did some housework in an attempt to work off the ones I ate
W'song - OHs - what are they like? Glad I'm single
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
