Evening everyone. I missed the tennis, but heard some throw away comment on TV about who did what, but didn't retain the info.  Flumpy, you've got me guessing, as well. We had a lovely roast turkey and vegs meal last night. The turkey was a little rolled up arrangement that Hubby picked up from the Aldi freezer. It was just enough for the two of us. I'm always glad when there are no leftovers. Stops the picking.

  • Mmmmmmmmm supper was absolutely fandabidozi  - washing up done (my turn on Saturdays) and everything put away and now we're on the sofa in front of Strictly - loved the Quickstepathon

Once upon a time I used to float around the village hall doing that!  image

  • Hello all, from my phone - so it'll be short, fairly incompetent, and lacking in smileys. Though I suppose I could produce them the old-fashioned way, thus image

Fairy - decades ago my Mum used to make something closely resembling flapjack, called Nutty Crunch. Perhaps it's only the name which is American, not the recipe? Anyway, Mum once accidentally called it Nutty Slack (actually a poor grade of wartime coal),and the name has stuck in my family ever since. image

Horrible gloomy wet day here - hope for better things tomorrow.

Back from fish and chips and singalong to Sound of Music. They showed the whole film with subtitles to the songs so we could join in. I love that film and it was a good evening. But now, having read the above, I realised I forgot Strictly, haven't recorded it. image
