Right, putting my feet up and reading a book now so Night night folks - highly doubtful that I'll be on here tomorrow as we're away for the weekend - DS will be here some of the time as he's attending a function in Norfolk - don't think he'll need to do any watering for me
See you all on Monday - have a good weekend folks
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
This is for the woods as well RHS says:his lovely little woodland plant lifts the heart with bright yellow pendants of bell-shaped flowers lighting up borders. Each petal is slightly twisted adding to their elegance and fresh green leaves act as a perfect foil. We grow it mixed with other woodland plants in the Cherry Garden, Rosemoor House beds, the Rock Gully and in the Plantsman’s Garden to form a tapestry of colour beneath deciduous trees before they are in full leaf. Because they are summer dormant it is easy to forget that they are there beneath the ground and at Rosemoor we have found that they flourish in areas where they are sure not to be disturbed during the summer.
I will verd I haven't grown clematis before and I managed to kill one that was already in the garden( pruned too hard I think) so I'm gonna get this right!

Sorry for the delay in responding Chicky ( listening to Paul Tortelier play Elgar on TV) but agree with Dove. Ground will do nicely
Oooh Stacey, thats a pretty one too. Love clematis, , maybe i'll get another one too.
Hello all
Put my nice changing solar colour lights out today make the garden brighter, I spotted lots of tulips starting to pop up and other bulbs
We have clematis armandii up the station but not liking it that much may be the wind, what sort of conditions do they need?
Stacey I like the white one
Think I am going to Romsey hillier GC tomorrow to look around
Armandii definitely don't like windy conditions, Gg. Can you provide some shelter, or move it?
