Hello folks I'll read back and see what you've been up to in a bit. We're just back from visiting the Aged Ps. Ma on quite good form really, cheerful if a little repetitive - Pa looking very frail, but ok. After our visit we went for a walk by the harbour and had magnificent cod and chips here http://www.solebayfishco.co.uk/about-us . If you have a moment click on the Features tab and take a look at the fish tank - we ate our lunch watching a huge navy blue lobster manoeuvring himself among the seaweed and some sea bass and grey mullet swimming about. We bought a couple of gurnard and some plaice fillets to bring home for the freezer.
We we got home we discovered that the big weeping willow up on the rise has been felled - we suspected that was going to happen when we saw the tree surgeon's truck pull up in their driveway. It's a shame that we won't see it lit up by the setting sun again, but I don't blame the owners - it was a huge tree to have in their front garden!

You'll probably need to phone ahead and book in July BL, as you can imagine it gets busy in the summer. You need to park in one of the carparks at the harbour mouth and walk upriver, not much more than 5 mins walk.

Beautiful day here today, nearly reneged on the cleaning; walking Shadow this morning was so glorious. Did get it all done but poor dog had a real scrub down before he was let in after his afternoon walk. Sounds like signs of spring are popping up everywhere over there too.
Restaurant looks lovely Dove, reminded me of a place in Whitby I went to once. My OH’s parents had a beautiful weeping willow, planted in the ‘60’s, gave them great privacy but unfortunately kitchen extension started to subside and insurers insisted it was felled, really spoiled the whole aspect but had to be done.
Had a good walk around garden today too & as I am free tomorrow & forecast is good am hoping to get some tidying up done & a bit of pruning, hope it’s not too early but some things just look like they need a good haircut. Grass is a mess, molehills everywhere, someone suggested sticking kids windmills in each hole to scare them off but I am not convinced it would work & not sure about the idea of a dozen windmills or so all around the garden.
Anyway, after yet another walk to feed the pony (Charlie insisted) am now sat in front of fire with a glass of red (Pilates cancelled – what a shame).
Just had another booking for Wednesday, if they want dinner will have to miss running club too, can but hope.

Guess who nodded off on the sofa! Dunno who is less fit...me or George! Woke up in time to make myself presentable before OH came home....drool is never an attractive look! Made him some dinner, then discovered i had more tesco vouchers than i thought, so ordered a load of seeds and a plastic greenhouse, got free delivery, so the whole lot only cost a little more than a tenner!
Just cooking yet more cinnamon rolls, then im off up the wooden hill
Glad your grandaughter is on the mend Yvie
Your fish and chips sound amazing Dove
David, never mind the pennies, make yourself happy if youve got it to spend
DD, sounds like you had a nice day, apart from the housework! sounds to me like youve earned that glass of red
Just realised I've not been on all day Been rather engrossed in a new book - it's just a bit of chick lit, but quite involving Haven't had the time to just sit and read and read for ages

That place looks great for lunch, Dove. We think we'll go there in July. So many nice places to see and several gardens as well as the coast.
Actually managed to get outside in the sunshine today. Pruned an old neglected grapevine on the south wall of the house.

Edd, I don't understand any of your post and some of it sounds disturbing. I hope you are okay
