Good morning all - I'm late on parade today - we both slept in and only woke half an hour before the builder arrived! Morning ablutions carried out at breakneck speed!!! Embarassment averted ... just!!!
Edd - sorry that life seems so difficult at the moment - try to remember that life's a journey not a destination - it's not about getting there it's about what you do along the way, and take it from me, life's easier when you're a team - sometimes holding hands is enough. Try not to meet the problems head on - go around them - all clichés I know, but things become clichés because they're true. Everything I say seems trite when you're faced with one of life's immovable objects, but you seem to relate to a 'stream of consciousness' style of writing so I hope this is ok with you. Good luck my friend
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It was lovely when I got up, bright sunshine. Went to the dentist, and came out to thick freezing fog.
Sorry things are not so bright Edd, having spent a lot of the last 10 years in a similar place, I have found that looking for very small positives wherever I can, gradually starts to improve your overall condition.
CBT has taught me that, praising yourself for seemingly insignificant achievements, can build up to produce significant gains. However the opposite is also true, so look for minor positives.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Punkdoc sounds like you walked straight into Dove's pea soup.
Feel for people suffering with dark places, so difficult to find the light I'm sure. At my age hormones can be a bit iffy and occasionally I have wobbles, nothing by comparison but understand the idea that 'pull yourself together' just doesn't work. Hugs to all that need one.

I found Edd's post hard to understand at first too. Good advice from Dove, as always. Stick together as a couple and share the problems or problems can drive you apart. I sometimes found it hard to understand first OH's problems as he was bi-polar and I am boringly down to earth, but you have to help each other whether you understand or not.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The ground is still solid here, but I have put banana seeds in to soak,to plant and put in propagator tomorrow. The summer flowering bulb tally is increasing. Some for pots, some for cutting garden, some for flower beds.
Now I'm browsing clematis.
I'm watching show me your garden. Someone is criticising the "dead"grass. Actually its a bronze carex, its meant to be that colour.!! That cliff garden is amazing. A very brave woman to take that on.

Just back from my morning walk, didn't want to come home, it was just too gorgeous out there!
Getting my gardening gloves on now, see you all later.
That looks gorgeous Dd - damp and overcast here in Norfolk, but the blackbirds don't mind - they're pulling up worms from the lawn
Pea soup about to be made, then a spicy carrot-cake traybake

Edd, really sorry, just reread your post. It makes sense now. So sorry you are feeling this way. Sending best wishes and hugs. x
Dove, wish you were nearer.

Hopefully spring is not far away and we all know how curative gardening can be
Back from the GC!
Coffee in me first, then more planting
Good morning
. I had a short lie-in too before performing taxi duties and SM shopping.
Hope things start to improve for you Edd. Hugs to both of you x.
Fidget you've got a good result from T&M
. Good lick to your OH with the weight loss. Very difficult but health is a great motivator.
KEF you don't really think Wintersong will only come back from GC with two lavendars and bird supplies do you?
Have a good day everyone - got to plug in as battery is about to go.......
