One of my heroes was a 18th century french nobleman who wrote to his wife advising to get the winter clothing out since it was threatening to snow in June, no joke
I used to live opposite this http://www.suffolkchurches.co.uk/laxfield.htm and I remember when the whole 'Church Plain', as the gravelled area is called, was covered with snow for about 10 minutes on June 6th when Wonky was very small. Don't think it's going to be repeated this year ........
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I don't like it out there! nearly got blown over! No strength with females version of man-flu! winter duvet back out, all other duvets huddled round to make a fort, a dent for me and a dent for the cat. All remote controls at hand, Monty on the telly and a pint of Darjeeling tea!
Unfortunately now got to leave my dent to look after Flatface who is also I'll and also a man, so its probably fatal, he tells me.
Lovely trips/holidays Liri and Lizzie, enjoy!
Thanks for the well wishes and Get well soon fellow sufferers! Whatever it takes!
Very blustery here. OH has gone to Wales. He is teaching a Malaysian who has a translator because he doesn't speak English. He is working for a Japanese company. Apparently the locals are upset about importing labour. I wonder why.
Also he says the rain is coming horizontally.
All I've done today is some washing and I've picked some flowers that have been flattened.
The noise from the wind and rain made working in the tunnels a deeply unpleasant experience. I could hardly hear "Reneé Flemings sings Handel" on the docking station.
On a plus note, elder daughter plus boyf have "completed" on the purchase of their flat. I'm so pleased for them both.
Hi Folks, On Nanna Duty today and tomorrow so not too bothered about the weather (which is awful) mind you I might be a bit bothered tomorrow around school run time
Popped into the garden centre today just to take Mabel out for a blow, didn't see anything that I fancied.
Hope P'doc, Wonky, Panda and all other poorly people feel better. Knee is not too bad today just a bit stiff and sore, that'll teach me to look where I am going.
Enjoy your holidays Liri and Lizzie, very jealous Lizzie, I adore NY. highlights of my trip were, dinner at the top of Beekman Tower, trip to the Cotton Club in Harlam, Seeing the NY Knicks play at Maddison Square Gardens and visiting Katz's Deli. Also visited Swing 46 a great supper club where they teach you to dance Swing.

Neer cast a clout till May be out is a Yorkshire saying
Think I need the clouts on whatever they are as it's nippy here
Sky is filling with black clouds, really hope it rains for the garden before the hot weather comes.
