DD saw you were thinking of rotovators. I have a Honda, it's light and manageable and easy to start. I'm not usually good with pull cords. Not that cheap, but worth it. No, I don't work for them!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
mann flu has abated, so i am out attacking things in the garden. Its funny how at this time of year I always start finding all the things I dont like, rather than enjoying the good bits, so I have to start moving things and chucking away things.
OL, I am another one with a two seater soft top.
Enjoy the wedding Clari, and have a good day everybody.
COYS!
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
DD - it's understandable that you want to get stuck in to a big, neglected garden - I was exactly the same at my last house. Long term projects are exciting and daunting at the same time. It's frustrating when you see all the things that need sorted and you want it all fixed right away but there's only enough hours in the day and strength in your body! On here, we tend to advise people in that situation to do some bits nearest the house first - even if it's just a tidy up of some kind - so that you see an improvement quite quickly. Gives you a bit of encouragement for the countless days that you look at all the work still to be done...
Seriously - some early spring colour and good evergreens or eye catching pots/statues/bird baths etc that you can see from windows and entrances throughout the winter is always a good trick.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all. Bit of a post holiday tidy up required here, inside and out. But first a trip into town for passport photos for littlest Chicklet (luckily have no trips planned for a while so don't need a quick turnaround), plus a trip to GC to get a pressie for lovely NNB who did such a wonderful job of keeping the garden alive whilst we were away - its a time consuming job, and when its not your own its quite some commitment. Whilst at GC will be looking for aster Monch - i planted some last year that have disappeared, but the ones that have survived are thriving, so will give it another go.
really pleased that my cuttings (agastache, penstemmon, lavender) seem to have also survivedmy absence ...... maybe I should go away more often
Would never get the amount of shopping I buy every week into two-seater
I am being tech-thick again but I tried quotes and obviously got it wrong It was Lizzie's comment about meeting nice forum members. Hoping to meet up with OL next week then she'll let you know if I'm safe to be out in public
Just read your post from last night doc - I wasn't going Goth - I just needed dark nail varnish to hide my mucky nails... Youngest fairy had some dark grey which did the job
Not sure a soft top would be much use here today...unless it's a fleece...soft top ....get it?
I'll get me (rain) coat...

Right off for a swim, I have slow roast pork belly to work off after last night's indulgence!!

No, OL, you didn't, you didn't say anything to offend me. I'm sure I'd like you in real life. I've met 6 people from forums now and liked all of them.
Morning all, grey and miserable here.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone - it is a teensy bit mad Panda isn't it? - but in the nicest of ways
Off to make raspberry mess now (same as Eton but with rasps instead of strawbs - much nicer I think)
Oh don't do that chick - we missed you!
