We have rain forecast for Thursday, to be expected with a SE wind.

  • Good morning all - still chilly here -1.4C overnight and lots of frost. Brrrrrrr!

I'm not expecting to count as many flowers as last New Year's Day - however I can't remember how many that was.

Now I've got a Special Gardening Notebook I shall have to make a New Year's Resolution to use itimage

Much milder here this morning, no condensation on the conservatory windows, has been streaming all week as de humidifier broken.

I woke very hot in the night, leaving electric blanket on didnt help!

I see our 'dear friend' has started a new happy new year thread, obviously too drunk las night to see one right next to his.

    Good morning allimage

I'm going to have to have a good read back and see what's been happening.  Beautiful pics were posted yesterdayimage

I'm looking forward to doing the flower count though I don't think I will have much on the list.

Off to local club tonight for a cabaret and 'couple' of sherbetsimage

  • Good morning Lyn and Lesley image

Did anyone see the moon last night?  It was beautiful image

Lyn, I think there's some sort of competitive element at work - some people seem to need lots of posts on 'their' threads image  That always puzzles me - if I start a thread I don't regard it as 'mine' - this forum is about sharing image

MrsGarden I don't have a camellia but think the important thing is that they don't get morning sun after a frost image someone will know.

Had a lovely walk yesterday out for about three hours, walk might not be the correct word, more like a skate, slip and clamber through the park and along the canal bank to the next village.

Not sure what to do today but won't be out at midnight.

The flower count won't take me long image

There's still 6 inches of snow outside, my flower count wont take me long either KEF!

Having a bit of a lazy day today. It's 09:00 and I'm struggling to find motivation to climb out of bed.

Quite night in tonight with favourite treats. The village "do" is a bit wild for us now!

every drink is £1 as the bartender finds that's easiest in a makeshift bar. Imagine!

Funny you should mention the sunrise LilyP.  I saw it when out with the dog and rushed home to get the camera.  It was amazingimage

Our drinks tonight will cost a bit more than that but it is a bowling club so hopefully the older members will be well behavedimage.  It will be better than staying home as eldest son has invited three friends to come hereimage

Hope Shadow behaved last night DDimage
