Fidget, how dare the police tell you off for dialling 999 image- the girl had stolen his cash and was probably still legging it - around here that means a crime is in progress and as such you dial 999 - honestly image

Friends got married last year - didn't tell anyone about the wedding, but said they were going to take nephew and niece (10 and 12) to the zoo and then arranged to meet up with family for a meal afterwards.

The nephew and niece were the only guests, the Registry Office provided witnesses and the restaurant had been primed and produced the wedding cake for pud.  Brilliant image

Fidget - stick to your guns and do it YOUR way - its your day.......as you say, they don't have to comeimage.  Many years ago we had a "no speech", no "seating plan" wedding .....the two things that Mr Chicky hated.  He still says ours is the best wedding he's ever been too....ahhhhimage

We're doing no bridesmaids. no speeches, No goody bags, no presents.

Just a ceremony, then a dinner then an evening disco and buffet with a quiet room for the oldies. Vase of garden flowers on the tables,  and possible a cake from M & S. They do good fruit cake. image I'll let him off his diet for one day.image

My sweet peas are usually over by end of August. If I sow some late do you think they will still be in flower early October? The current batch is ready to go out.

Fidget its your day,  wear and do what you want. Our neighbours got married a few years ago and had the reception in their garden. They had garden flowers on the tables and they looked lovely. Also their cake came from M & S......I didn't know at the time......it was one of the nicest wedding cakes I've ever tasted.

Lovely robin pics Dove. Glad Ma had lovely birthday.

I'm sad for you Fidget at the lack of support from all and sundry! image I don't have 'traditional plans' for our wedding (no one get excited, no date set!) and absolutely no one is bothered.

His sister said she thought we had already got married, just not told anyone.image

  • To keep  sweet peas going you need to water frequently and pick, pick, pick....
