    Well now that could be a debate i'm sure but to me they're what my mam called drop scones. I'll let people with more baking knowledge than i decide on the proper name.

    I think you're both right. The batter's 'dropped' so I think that's where that term comes from. The ingredients are pretty much the same as a scone - just different quantities. My dad was English and I think he called them that, while mum, being a Scot, called them pancakes. They've always been (Scotch) pancakes to me. image

    Scotch pancakes aka drop scones or vice versa.  Don't care what they're called they look delicious so, if you can spare one Fairyimage.

    The rain has arrived here now but I had already given up on the weeding.  I said to OH that I wished I was 20 years younger so I could carry on and he agreed that he wishes I was 20 years younger as well.  Bl...y cheekimageimage.

    Has the slug finished his window cleaning round yet Doveimage
