Whilst working at the wildlife trust I bumped into my fear on numerous occasions. Once I was judging a school Eco Award and some stupid animal man took one out of a box, I just legged it, I think everyone thought Id eaten a dodgy curry the speed I left that room at. I also spotted one under my car and had to stay in a cafe for about 2 hours before it went away. All the way home I kept imagining it had gone into the engine and was waiting to pounce. Although Im an avid gardner I cannot keep a compost heap for obvious reasons. Further more there are whole sections of films I have never seen. A girl at work offered to desensitise me as she had two but I just couldnt even think about it. The funny thing is I found out my dad was just as scared of them after he died but i never knew while he was alive. OL I can really understand the tortoise thing and clowns is quite a common one, but Ive never heard of anyone with a phobia of cheesecake, it must be the consistency I imagine.
Philippa, when we went to Sanibel Island a couple of years ago 'they' were nesting, our friends and my OH tried to see them at night but I was terrified even in the day in case they came out. I wouldn't harm one (I couldn't get near it if I wanted to) but urghhhhh
I cant even stand cheesecake near me, it makes me want to throw up LOL....I suppose I am officially weird
I'm with you on the piccalilli Lily Also shaving foam, ughh and as a child couldn't stand the feel of that foam used for seat pads with the blue, green and yellow mix, yuck

I think that he's just never really looked at cabbages before
OH is the fruit & veg manager at the farm shop - he's said he'd be very pleased with a consignment of those cabbages so I've posted that
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
