Mixed herbs picked and displayed in jam jar and named...
red spuds lifted... need 3 same size and clean. Have 2 really goodly sized ones only, dam... never mind. Do I go with these or three smaller but same size
Woody, can you have two entries in the one class? If not, in my experience of judges I'd go for matching sizes.
Archie - grand daughter and spuds both gorgeous
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all - late for me. No work today but it's been quite hectic for the last month or so there - more than usual. Worked outside till quite late yesterday while daughter made a roast for dinner - too hot really but the chicken wasn't going to keep another day. It's all made me very tired so slept a bit more than usual.
We don't really get many thunderstorms here because we don't normally get the long, hot humid spells you all get down south, but it's been very oppressive. We managed to avoid the last storm too - it skirted round the edges of this area. It's warm and windy just now so perhaps we'll get a 'thunderplump' as my Mum used to call it! Lots of watering needed - I'm seriously regretting not getting an outside tap last year
Woody - hope all goes well and weather stays fine for you. I'll send you ours as we seem to have south of England's usual stuff just now
Nice to see you archie - lovely pix
Too many pages to catch up on so I won't try - hope everyone is fine and workers/retiring workers/ redundant workers are managing to rise above the ****
Off for a look round and see if there's any queries I'm capable of answering!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Most of my entries to show are now ready to go. Hope I haven't picked too soon, but no way could I have done them tomorrow before 8-30. Will pick rest this evening.
Feet up for moment, then cooking Tomato Tarte Tatin. Hope it's a bit better than trial run. Not great with pastry, even shop bought.
Hi everyone, very loud thunderstorm in Worcester last night hope we had rain at home. Its still very muggy though I think we may have more to come. Took Mabel (youngest granddaughter) for her first shoes today, she seems well impressed
Afternoon all, just got back, no rain or storms thank goodness, motorways a lot busier than usual going north probably due to holidays in Scotland already. Lesley, I went to Lanark in a Scotland, didn't stop at Tebay, far too much temptation of lovely food
Got home to 2 broken sunflowers and more will go in this wind so just having a brew (the first since before 7!) and then off out for emergency propping up to try and stop the wind doing any more damage. Just asked OH why the green beans had been moved and apparently they had fallen over too....not good Pots too dry aswell so need to water, even though I shouldn't now they look wilted......didn't water this morning because it looked like rain but they did get a good soak last night

Tarte Tatin in oven, progress report to follow. Watching golf waiting for the timer buzzer.
OL I try not to rely on rain to look after my pots... too little and hit and miss
