Think the rain's stopping now -I need to go into the village to pick up a prescription and some cheese and bits and pieces - don't want to get drenched in the car park.
The forecast is for the rain to clear up this afternoon - I hope so - It's the Lord Mayor's Parade this afternoon - lots of youngsters will have been working long and hard on their contributions - it'll be such a shame if it rains.
Not that I'm going into the city to see it this year - we have been sometimes, but as OH now works on Saturdays he's not really keen on standing in a crowd lining the roads, then getting squashed and jostled when he tries to buy a drink.
There's more than 50 floats this year!!!

Have just rediscovered second hedgehog in garden, very distressed. It drank lots of water , but wouldn't eat my best cat food. Have now delivered him/her to rescue lady, so all should be well. Will check early next week and let you know. Fingers crossed.
Morning All.....it's weekend, yay and the the garden has had a good soak, not checked the water butt yet but I'm expecting it to be full Off onto the veg patch after porridge to get up the unwanted growth
You were all very busy last night, had a quick skim read......Evie, poor you and poor daughter, I hope yiu didn't catch the cold off me through cyber space.....I'm still coughing and my voice is croaky but I don't feel ill now thankfully, hope you and your family are all better soon.
Bekkie, love the comment re food not containing calories...which is exactly why when the kebab shop jumped out in front of us last night and we couldn't resist, we ate it in the car so no-one could see, I asked my OH if we were tracking the kebab and then decided that what goes on in the car stays in the car so it's our secret (and yours now ), extra gym or cycling today though
Concert was fab, I just love. James Blunts voice, he isn't particularly good looking but there is something about him I find so, so, well so sexy Only got a but wet too

Hi all. Not been around much this week - was working extra hours, watching the tennis and also had 'stuff' to deal with.
Won't really be able to catch up with what you've all been up to so hope everyone is ok. Did quite a bit outside after work each day - lots of watering mainly - but yesterday was very wild and wet so it saved doing that apart from tomatoes. Daughter's birthday yesterday but as she's on holiday I'll be able to leave cake making till tomorrow.
Off to get a bit done before I go out - friend is getting some windows replaced so I'mm seeing if any are worth having for a cold frame. Yet another project
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
We wondered where you were Fg - presumed you were busy in the garden Happy birthday to daughter!
Woody, the hedgehogs' Knight in Shining Armour!
Panda a lie-in every now and then is good for you, so they tell me. Rain's stopped here now and sun's trying to shine. Hope the weather's good down in Suffolk - son's at the Maverick Festival
