2 men came to look at the garden and they seem keen to open it for next year. They deal with publicity, English and French and they have helpers to help with refreshments.
There was a chicken breast in the fridge, sell by 4th Oct. Seemed a bit smelly so thought I would cook it in the microwave for Tigger, my border collie. The whole kitchen stinks! Have cleaned out the microwave with disinfectant and sprayed the kitchen with 3 sorts of air freshener and left the door open to the terrace. It still stinks. Help! Tigger arrived, I think he thought it smelt delicious, but it's in the dustbin.
Recently a little ginger and white cat, pitifully thin, has turned up and has been eating my cat's food. I've de-fleaed and de-ticked it, but worried it may be ill or have worms. It's very friendly. Taking it to the vets at 6pm. Had to shut cat in cat basket, it's not happy, but I can't guarantee it will be around at the right time.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hope you got on ok with the boiler man Liri Hope your dil gets the jobs as Ireland is a beautiful country especially the west side but guessing you'll be sad that the family are moving away
Fairy could you make baskets to size out of chicken wire type mesh?
Congratulations BL on what sounds like a great visit from your main man and hope the chicken cooking was after he left!
You are so kind taking care of that little cat and hope you can keep us posted on his progress
Yviestevie you need to stock up on ibuufen, sounds like you had a lovely afternoon though despite your aches and pains. Did you go to home sense?
Welcome home dove Your dinner sounds yummy as ever! We have got one of those piri whole chickens but got viewer at seven so having a dilemma wether to put in oven before or after they come!
right back to cleaning! Got five viewers tomorrow and one on Sunday! At least if we don't sell I got all my jobs done and house is sparkling
Hi BM, No didn't get that far, I did enjoy my afternoon as we hadn't had a catch up for ages. Unfortunately I can't take ibruprofen or anything similar as they upset me. At the moment I'm making do with Anadin Extra, it takes the edge off. I've got until next Wednesday before she gets to attack me again and it should get easier each time.
Can you take codeine or does that upset you too? I find anadin extra don't touch the sides! Have you tried the cream that has ibuprofen in? Really good as you need that to fix the muscles as well as kills the pain
BM - good luck with the viewers - it's very tiring so relax once they've gone!
Thought of making something up with chicken wire - but I don't have any. Cleared tons of it out of last house Not worth buying any - cheaper just to buy the baskets. Only need one so not too bad, and will rig something up till it comes.
Great result BL - you must be really happy after all your work getting to that stage.
Got a load of tomatoes roasting just now, and will use some make sausage casserole for me and youngest as oldest has gone to work. She's been doing loads of extra hours so she'll be able to pay me back for all the subs she's had....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Boiler man been and gone, and HW finished!! so I can have a wander outside before having to get tea.
BM - home cooking always smells great when you've got a house viewing. I used to make lots of bread... Hope one of your viewers makes you a great offer.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Cat update - Back from the vet. Cat isn't a kitten or a boy. She's old, well, over 12, has lost some teeth. Vet said she had signs of flea infestion which has gone, so the Frontline worked. He's wormed her, says she has no evidence of disease except for starvation. No identification. Perhaps her elderly owner died? Who knows? She's been in the woods for some time, unable to feed herself properly and is very, very tame and affectionate. But she did a poo in the cat basket, probably nerves. Vet wanted her to have a name for his paperwork (you know what the French are like!) so she's called Apricot.

Hello folks - I'm home
OH has run out of hedgehog banquet mix, so I'd better prepare some more, and make a parsley sauce to go with the gammon steaks for supper - baksun
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Meant to say, good luck with those viewings BM, fingers and toes crossed so you can buy the house with the lovely sounding garden.
