  • Good morning all image Snuffle Snuffle Cough!!! image  I hope you're feeling better BL ((hugs))  how long did it take for your lurgy to degenerate into the 'flu???  I must pop down to the village this morning - son is threatening to visit tomorrow (he's had the lurgy so that's ok) and I've promised a cottage pie - but all the suitable dishes are either in the freezer or out on loan - somewhere image

    Morning all.

Another day car searching, and haggling for a deal, not something I enjoy, so I have decided to look at any money off I can negotiate, as a plant fund.

After that maybe some more seed sowing.

    Have a good day everyone.

    morning all.

Get well soon all those who, like us , having colds. ( way too many to mention)

Waiting for Doc to call later to discuss results of Friday's Xray.

OH has offered to help today , so might make the most of it and get new raised beds set into place in polytunnel.

Mixture of sun and hail storms here , but very windy.

  • Glad you're getting the Under Gardener trained up Hostafan - you can be on coffee making duty image

Fingers crossed they find a way to sort your knee out.  I wish I'd lobbied harder to get something done about mine - I was a student and sort of between doctors at the time, and then they discovered I'd another health issue and my knee got forgotten as the pain had subsided - but sometimes even now, nearly 20 years on, when I turn suddenly my knee just gives way beneath me and I find myself on the floor! They say they can't see anything wrong with it, but my guess is that if I was an expensive footballer they'd find a way of sorting it - but I'm not, and that's probably a blessing image

  • Been out in the greenhouse and put some last rose cuttings in to root. The hubby and father in law are braving the hailstones under a pop up gazebo putting up my new above ground pond. Going into my stables soon to bag up some manure. Miserable day here very cold. Greenhouse heater is going full blast dreading the electric bill!

  • Bekkie, thanks very much for the idea of salt dough, will have a go with it this afternoon.

Dove, that's kinda how I plan to approach it.

I'll make the point that when I'm working, I'm driving / lifting and when I'm not working, I'm gardening, so lots of kneeling / lifting / digging etc. then suggest if it "gets better" it'll only go again in the future so maybe cut to the chase and save time , effort, pain and long term cost to NHS by sorting it now.

My own GP (she's wonderful ) has been on leave , so I've not actually spoken to her about it, but she's back now and she's calling me " around 3.30pm" to discuss Xray results
