Definitely test it out Lesley image

Wild day here today so I've been to get some bits and pieces and will have a lazy day to make up for all the busy ones. My pond plants arrived yesterday so I've been sorting them out. I made a built in planting area for some which just needs a lining,  but I needed a couple of baskets and can only get giant ones. Managed to get a small one locally which will do the tiny water lily but had to order a bigger one off t'interweb  image

That'll teach me - should have ordered them with the plants  imageimage

It was strange today Fairy because the weather was nice when I started up the M6.  I got to Cumbria which was very windy and as soon as I reached the Welcome to Scotland sign it threw it downimage.   Glad your plants have arrived.  I have a kidney shaped basket if you would like it.  Some daft idea I read about planting tulips so that you can lift the whole basket.  Too many roots around here to bury it. I'll check the size later.

Very kind of you Lesley. I thought about the kidney shaped one but the shelf is too short to take them. image

Not sure why they don't make rectangular ones in different lengths for small ponds. My pond's tiny, as are lots of people's.  Gap in the market...image image

Hi folks.  Stuck in the house cos the boiler man's coming sometime this afternoon - can't hoover cos I won't hear him knock image so I've stopped h.....w...k for the moment.  (Any excuse...  image  ...my conscience tells me there are some nice quiet cleaning jobs I could be getting on with, but I'm happily ignoring it, and spending the time with a cup of tea, researching Co.Galway, where my SIL has an interview next Thursday.)  Will be a longish way to go to visit if he gets the job, but western Ireland is gorgeous!  And there are flights to Shannon from Manchester for only £32.  Bit far for babysitting though  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.  Even though its a beautiful day no gardening for me today, popped to Merry Hell this morning to pick up a few things and then went to my friends for coffee, which turned into lunch which turned into afternoon tea.  Just arrived home.  Still aching all over hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

Still have the front garden to tidy up and have a few bulbs still to plant.
