    Afternoon all.

Bekkie - glad your shower switch is fixed. OH doesn't do DIY either but at least he knows his limitations!!!

OL - Wow, 24 years together. Only 2 more years before your 20th.  We still have a little way to go. Married 12 years.

Dove - you did make me giggle with your comment of a younger modelimage.

Clari- fingers crossed for you today.

They did say that it was going to be very warm in East Anglia. Sounds like they were right Dove.

Bekkie, I was very young and made totally the wrong choice at the beginning - it was a lonely relationship but I stuck it out until the children had grown up then left..........then I met OH imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage image image

I must admit there were doubters because we were so young, but unlike Dove I was lucky and although we haven't been without problems somehow we always seem it get through it.  I couldn't stay in a lonely relationship, you need someone who makes you happy image I was determined I wouldn't end up controlled and with no friends like someone close to me image

    Good news!

    Bosses incompetency saves the day!

Rather than work out the financial implications / benefits to the "solutions" we offered him (on Tuesday) that would involve us all keeping our jobs (all be it reduced in hours and pay) in advance of the meeting he decided instead to "minute them" (we know what they sodding are - we wrote them!) and says he will then discuss them with the other bosses some time next week (they'll be busy in development meetings - nice to know their priorities are on the future rather than the RIGHT NOW and their CURRENT staff).

The ship is sinking fast but at least it means that we all get another week at full pay. Not that from what the accountant told me they'll actually have any money left to pay any of us this month.

Clari ((hugs))  yet another example of the Peter Principle in operation!   But as you say, another week with someone owing you a salary isn't all bad.  The other bosses aren't planning a Buy Out and not telling him, are they?

Awww Clari, hugs. As you say, at least its another weeks pay, which will help if you choose the other job that you really want to do. But very frustrating too. At least its the weekend tomorrow. Take care Clari best wishes. image

Hugs Clark. Doesn't sound like you got the resolution you were looking for. At least its another weeks pay though.
