    Evening all image

Phew, what a long day for me. Issues at work meant I didn't leave till late and then had to wait 45 mins for a bus image Lovely OH ordered a takeaway so no cooking required. Goes against our 'healthy eating' efforts though. That said, I had lettuce in my Piri Piri Chicken wrap image

Thats fine then Panda,  it sounds healthy compared to my box of chocolate finger biscuits.  Had a ham salad sandwich at lunch time but didn't fancy a meal this evening.  It might have something to do with the slice of Elderflower and Goosberry sponge I ate after the ham sandwichimage.  Note to self "must try harder".

removal men took some of sisters furniture for storage. So my nephew sons and i moved most of other stuff into one room and the rest downstairs. Cleaned all the other upstairs rooms to save doing tomorrow...moving day. Phew!!

Thank you Lesley and Yvie. I hope your box is very long time away too!!

Panda hope salt mines are ok, still in your pocket, although a bit achy today.

Worked in the garden until it was getting dark, deadheading, chopping, staking, for nearly 2 hours. Still 2 more beds to do, but not too big. Then had a bath and watched Bake Off. How I wanted to try those patisseries!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

You could probably do with a rest day sitting in my pocket Lily after all the work you've been doing at your sisters image Still, the end must be in sight now. as someone said (soz is on previous page and I can't remember who image) then will come the unpacking. Now that really is my least fav job. Still have boxes in the 'spare' room that haven't been unpacked after 2 years image Maybe I should chuck them as I clearly don't need what ever is inside them image

My friend in Australia has boxes that moved from Pittsburgh in America, to Nottingham, to Perth,Australia, and then twice within western Australia. Its only the gardens that get left behind when she moves.

  • Ooh check them Panda, you may find some nice surprises in them image

Good luck for moving day Lily, and good luck with the Garden Inspector tomorrow Lizzie (will be out early tomorrow, so unlikely to pop in here).  I'm sure your garden will wow him - its perfect for an open garden.

Pitch black here now, so no idea what weather the day holds, but got some welcome rain yesterday.  The ground was hard and dry when I was planting at the weekend - a pick axe would have been handy - so rain is good at the moment.  I can't face the great annual weedfest until the ground is a bit softerimageimageimage.

off for a lecture thing in London this evening - so might catch you all when I'm on the train later.
