Hi Folks, just got back from Nanny duty.  Pansies have arrived, will get a better look at them tomorrow in the light.  Had another parcel which is at the post office waiting for me to pick it up, can't  remember what it might be, nevermind it will be a nice suprise when I open it.

    Glad you enjoyed JT Fairy.

BM hope HS2 doesn't scupper your plans.

Thanks for the reminder about the voucher.  Could have used it today as there is a Wyevale close to firstborns.

Off to have a look round.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

OK Beaus - give in.  Yes I'm having a very nice but busy timeimage  We went out for a birthday lunch which was the first time my Dad managed to get into a car (broken hip for anyone who didn't know) so it was a good change for him.

Does HS2 come near us - you could pop up to help me anytime thenimage

Hope you get a nice surprise at the PO Yvie.image  I never do. Usually something boring for OH.

Evening all. Done nuffin in the garden today, apart from put away a couple of sunloungers.

We went out to a lovely lunch with some lovely friends who had invited 2 other couples who we like. Didn't get home until 7pm! Well, 40 mins was driving. All English. Lots of chat and discussion.

DD, his name is Mick, must be the one you met. He is coming to inspect the garden on Friday. So much dead heading to do still and the grass needs mowing - OH's job! The grass that is.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hi Chunk.  Tell us about your garden and what you want to achieve.

Hi Lesley. I have a new-ish allotment. I am much nearer the top of a waiting list for one much nearer home than I thought so I am going to give up the one I have done lots of work on and concentrate on my small garden at home until one on the site I want is available. I will be lifting up some slabs this week to prepare ground underneath with some organic matter so it can break down over winter, then plant some veg and maybe fruit in spring. (I will be needing advice!) Also have a small area about 4m by 2m in semi shade which I would like to have as a flower border( something else I will be needing advice with!)

Thanks for asking!  What about you?

Chunk there are better people than me to point you in the right direction for allotments. Everyone is helpful and I'm sure you'll be made welcome. (my nickname at school was chunky)  No idea whyimage

You will find your way around the site. Hope someone comes up with a link

Well I welcome any advice, particularly with regard to the border I am planning to have. Very new idea though so I'm not even sure precisely what I want yet.
