Morning all. Dove - that is a lovely H. Its nice to have I think my sign would read lants that have such lovely memories of someone special.
Bekkie - ooops.
Okay - looks like two Agapanthus are coming into the
G H over winter. Thanks for the advice everyone
Clari- keeping my fingers crossed for you today.
David - my sign would read "i've made space for this plant". OH keeps saying there is literally no more room in the garden for any more plants. I always manage to find a space.
Clari- that is annoying hearing everything going on. Sounds like the company is struggling. At least after today you will have a definite yes or no and can make decisions from there.
An earlier reference to watering, and the possibility of rain, reminded me of something Alan Titchmarsh said... an inch of rain (which we rarely get all in one go in summer) will penetrate the soil to a depth of 9 inches. Whilst this is useful it is no where near enough, and unless we get continuous and frequent rain , we must keep on watering. Pots and tubs in particular get almost no benefit from rain as much is shed by the leaves without touching the compost. Having said that plants seem to smile more when they have had a good drink of rainwater.
Personally, I don't use the spray attachment when I water. I remove it and water using the end of the hose at the base of the plant. If I was thirsty I would much rather lie beneath the tap, than run around the garden with my mouth open in a storm!
Hi Everyone, Clari, good luck for tomorrow, I know its no comfort but I always think that fear of the unknown is much worse than dealing with reality, so whatever happens Im sure you will feel better once you know whats really happening rather that what the office gossips say. You can then get on with dealing with the fall out.
Re agapanthus, I have left mine out for the last 2 years and havent had any bother, they are in loamy soil which can be a little bit on the dry side because they are next to quite a big tree stump covered with ivy. Never realised they were on the tender side. I need to made a decision whether to plant Ixia Mabel out or leave in pot and overwinter in Cold greenhouse, Any views anyone.
By the way daughters ankle is now encased in bright red cast for at least two weeks before they consider one of those removable boot things. Why do I think the next couple of weeks are going to be hectic!

Somebody will Bekkie. Maybe ask on the main board? Would be a shame to throw it out.

My Engagement Aloes are potted up happily on the windowsill in the spare room Phillppa. I fear they wouldn't notice insanity here if I tried!
Yviestevie I hope your daughter doesn't get too frustrated with her leg. I can't imaine being in cast in such hot weather
